Notes

Dollarama Pack Draft - pure chaos or pure dullness?

I went 2-2 in this draft, there was no playoff round (no desire or prize).
Most of my games were long, and involved slow chipping on both ends.

1st pack: Apocalypse Demon
2nd pack: Treasury Thrull
3rd pack: (Some random off-colour hybrid I passed on)

Game 1: Beat TH's RW Devil-torment deck. Slowly chipped away at his life, eventually had to deal with the onslaught of his enchanted attackers. Just scraped a win.
Game 2: Lost to CJ's GW Combat-Trick-into-Massive-Creatures deck. Vampires were putting him on the clock early, had some nice combos but ultimately it led to a stalemate that was broke by a few combat tricks. Close game.
Game 3: Lost to JD's UG Creature deck. Another close battle with vampires on the clock early, and eventually a stalemate of creatures. A misplay by me led to an extremely close game that had JD winning by 1.
Game 4: Won against PB's B Control deck. This was the first deck I managed to see a large portion of my other cards (Nim, Dub, Bond-Kin). Slowly chipped away at him until I could sweep in for the win.

MVPs:
Vampires - Managed to get them both out all 4 games early, putting people "on the clock". Good blockers too.

Thrulls - Good combo with Grasping ETB trigger, use as blocker or attack till death, then use Treasury Thrull to bring him right back for the ETB. Big bodies too for damage.

Losers:
Secondary creatures - Nightwatch, Assassin, Perlious Shadow and big daddy Apocalypse Demon were all underutilized, though barely seen (only in the final game). Could have served as extra body blockers or control pieces.

Overall, not a bad draft for everyone. The decks were all competitive, with no major bombs or broken cards ruining games. People managed to put together decent themes and combos with what was available. Personally, I wasn't mentally 100% for it, so I felt that I lagged at times (a good excuse for my poor deck).
