The Forgotten Cave was discovered thanks to the scouting efforts of the elvish and merfolk contingents, but the worst has come to pass.  Intet, the Dreamer is awake. 

Yeva was in the middle of performing the Return to Earth rite which would have bound the foul dragon to the ground and perpared it for beheading by Lovisa and her legendary Obsidian Battleaxe.   As the incantation was nearing completion The Dreamer's eyelids snapped open and she unfurled her wings.  The power that rippled through the chamber cracked the earth beneath the feet of the heroes and an Earthquake opened wide chasms throughout the land.   Lovisa, Tatyova and most of the merfolk fell through one such Fissure and were swept away by the raging deluge when the aquifier beneath the chamber split open.  The raging Flood thrashed them against the rocks as they are washed down the Contested Cliffs into the lowlands. The Opportunity was lost.

Cut off from much of the expidition force Yasova has to rally those few who remain and escape the mountains to get back to the mortals' strongholds.  Kaseto and Yeva desparately focus their magics trying to save those who are left using Broken Falls, Molting Skins, and Snakeskin Umbras to give second chances.  As Intet ascends into the smoking sky and Unravels the Aether, the very heavans above turn into a mind-bending miasma of watercolors, strange new beasts appear and Rampant Growth continues.  The rules of reality are Dismissed Into Dream and mortals wake to a nightmare while the thin vaneer of reality is Deglamered.
