- svyelun + cursecatcher + kopala = ward 4
- realmwalker + kumena = play merfolks with realmwalker, draw non-merfolk with kumena.
- mystical tutor, worldly tutor + kumena = put tutored card into hand.  tutor for combo pieces or interaction.
-reflections of litjara can copy merrow commerce
- simic growth chamber/utopia sprawl/wild growth + freed from the reel
+ kiora's follower = infinite green mana, infinite gold mana/untaps with sprawl

considerations:
- creeping renaissance for if we get board wiped too often
-song of freyalise is a mini cryptolith rites and with an untapper on the board could get alot of value over 2 turns
- jiang yanggu is another alternative to cryptolith rites.  more expensive and vulnerable though
-overtaker, seprazzan legate are merfolk
-mistcaller stops reanimate and sneak attack effects
-seahunter would be good with expensive merfolk like empress galina, wanderwine prophets
- might need a damage doubler like beastmaster ascension, triumph of the hordes
- burgeoning/summer bloom might be good (will often have full hand, but not many lands in deck)
-vivien, champion of the wilds might be good to play creatures on untap
- not enough green creatures for oran-rief vastwood
-opposition + seedborn muse = tap all their lands on their upkeep, every upkeep.
- +1/+1 counter synergies arent good enough
- might not need lords, might focus on untapping into a combo.
- artifact tutors for isochron, illusionist bracers
-enclave cryptologist is a decent 1drop
- aluren is crazy good

combos:
- illusionist's bracers + follower of kiora = infinite mana, infinite untaps = infinite draw
- dramatic reversal + sigil tracer = infinite mana, infinite untaps = infinite draw
- dramatic reversal + isochron sceptre = infinite mana, infinite untaps = infinite draw
- vorel of the hull clade + magistrate's sceptre with 3 counters on it = infinite turns
- wanderwine prophets = infinite turns
- infinite mana + kumena + surgespanner = bounces all opponent's permanents
