Placement 5th of 8 players

First was up against green deck, had some ramp but we had a stalemate and I broke through using the Skystrike Officer. I wasn't prepared for later games. During the 2nd round I splashed in red for some answers but it didn't help. Probably should have just kept 2x Loran's Escape to keep my board from being stolen from me.

I didn't anticipate that some decks would have multiple combos they might be able to pull off. I kept untapped mana Urza's Rebuff in hand some games but it just delayed me in building up my own side of the board.
