I was looking at this yesterday and was going to suggest the Guides for Hawks swap.  I know it makes it more like CawBlade (I hate that name so much), but it really is the best way to survive early and abuse your equipment package late.  And Guides aren't that good in your deck because you're more control oriented and have better beaters late game.

Don't take the Baneslayers out.  They're so good.  There are some decks that literally can't beat an on curve Baneslayer.  I also love that you have the Sparkmage package main.  I'm just a huge fan of the Stoneforge toolbox you've got there.

I'd keep things as it is.  Boros is good but I'm starting to sour on it slightly because Mortarpod is everywhere and all my 1/1 dudes get crushed.  I've been running more Mirran Crusaders than anything lately, and I really think the right Boros build now is one with a bigger high end, much like you've got here.  You're just CawBlade but swapping Jace and counters for Koth and burn.  I'd much rather be the aggro build in that mirror.

I'm thinking about sideboarding the baneslayers but I don't know what to put in their place.  I'm thinking either Journey or more red kill cards.  I'm also thinking about dropping the Guides for birds.  The more I look at your deck the more I fall in love with it.  I'm convinced it's THE deck right now, what with all that fetch.  I'm thinking about jumping in and buying some more Arid Mesas and Tarns.

I don't think it's a version of my deck at all, which is mostly a version of someone else's deck to start with.  Your deck eschews the lower end aggro cards for bigger threats and control elements.  My deck is an aggro build with midrange elements.  Your deck is a solid mid-range control deck.  Honestly, given the choice, I like your build better.  It has inevitability.

I like it.  It's just a poorer version of your deck so there's no reason to play it.  I'm partial to B/W control right now.

    This is really solid, chief.
