    there is a lot of talk about merciless eviction as a thing maybe you can try that out? Also your curve is pretty low, so immortal servitude might be useful. I would also suggest some kind of mill, it'll help in the mid to long games mess up people's scry and pump Nighthowler.

      I would suggest adding sin collector so you can rip out all those board wipes UW control players will be playing. Lifebane zombie is also something to consider.

        Cartel Aristocrat might warrent some consideration too. especially if you could find a use for immortal servitude and sin collector. Too bad thoughtseize is so expensive because that would be great too.

          I don't really think the Heroic plan is worth it, there are only 10 triggers (unless you plan on doomblading your own guys), and 4 are expensive at 3 mana. Most of the heroic plan seems to require cheap like 1 cmc triggers. However, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx might be useful, it can help you ramp.

                I think you might very likely be right about Heroic, I want to see how it plays and either add more triggers or replace the whole suite with more aggressive 3-drops and deck flexibility.  But this is one of those things where when I picture it working perfectly, it looks soooo nice.  I'm hoping Gods Willing will help keep my heroics on the board, might even add Boon of Erebos to help keep them alive as well. You'll have to help me playtest!

                  What would really be nice is hopefully the next set will add one or two black heroes worth playing to make the theme more reliable

    Should have 4 Godless shrines (if for tourny).
    I like Sin collector, perhaps maindecked.
    Boon of Erebos or Scourgemark
    maybe Cutthroat Maneuver (I like lifelink) over Dauntless Onslaught (similar cards)
    Elspeth (if you have it)
    Erebos, God... (definitely)
    Hero's downfall over Doom blade/Ultimate Price
    Phalanx Leader (great two drop)
    Soldier of the Pantheon (good one drop as a 2/1) or Tormented Hero
    Whip of Erebos

        Oh right I forgot about Hero's Downfall, that's definitely going in.  Does 8 sound like a good number of kill spells?  How does the balance of creatures/spells look to you?


        Godless Shrines and Obzedat are on my wishlist, but they're the money cards in this deck...

          8 is a good number.  4 should be Hero's downfall though, for planeswalker's alone.
