This is the first time that I won money at a store event. I was reluctant to go with this color combination as I had never played it before. The standout cards in this deck were (surprisingly) Cavern Lampad and Nighthowler.

As there were few B/W decks in the tournament I could give intimidate to either Servant of Tymaret or Orskos Sun-Guide, whose inspired abilities could trigger every turn. I could then pump them for extra damage. The win-condition was Nighthowler.  Once that had entered the board and had been placed on an intimidate creature the game was over. I always made sure to have the opponent play some removal before I bestowed it. I

Nighthowler's bestow cost is quite low. I suppose that it can be relatively weak if there are few creatures in the graveyard, but it will keep growing as the game continues. It creates a dilemma for the opponent - if I kill this creature it makes the other one stronger. I would like to build a deck around this ability.

Problems with my play: I was far too aggressive, which is normally how I play. I should have waited and not traded, waited for my opponent to make a mistake. I should also have chumped to protect my life total.
