    Updated again :)

    • the_astro (28-Mar-2014 21:23)

This is almost as close as you are going to get without going tribal (soldier or knight), token, or pure hatebear/Martyr/Death and Taxes.  You might steal more game ones by swapping Gods Willing for Thalia from sideboard to maindeck.  You are almost all creatures anyway.  I have seen other aggro decks splash white just for Thalia, so it's probably a good option.

    • the_astro (28-Mar-2014 21:25)

Also, my biggest problem as an aggro player was always big blockers, not other strategies.  Sure, you want to stop things like Tron or Storm, but a single Goyf can ruin your day.  Might be worth Dismember out of the board, or some other white removal.  You could probably just play creatures and removal mainboard and be good.

aren't there really good token makers in modern? they might be better than some of the creatures you have here.

    • the_astro (28-Mar-2014 20:03)

I get the impression that he doesn't want to play tokens.  That's totally a deck that exists, but it isn't this deck.

This is getting closer to a human based beatdown.  I'd be weary of any creature pump spells or enchantments, though.  Seems like a recipe for some 2-for-1s.

      • sheard (Edited 28-Mar-2014 20:18)

        2 for 1's?

if no pump, get rid of phalanx leader and dauntless onslaught for?

        • the_astro (28-Mar-2014 20:28)

Go to pump a creature, he gets Bolted/Pathed/etc., you are down two cards.  If you were to replace them, use any of the agressive creatures I listed before.

path to exile ramps the opponent, tectonic edge slows them back down. seems pointless. dump the edge?

grand arbiter while awesome doesn't seem great. surely there are better white creatures available.

I imagine swords are still good. add those.

    I don't play modern, i don't know what i'm talking about.

    • sheard (28-Mar-2014 20:16)

I do like the swords, but only have one of them $$$

  • Michael (28-Mar-2014 19:36)

competely illegal league deck. How did you get these cards? You dirty cheater! We are going to expel you.

Seriously though you have no token makers but sundering growth? that doesn't make sense.

  • sheard (28-Mar-2014 19:13)

    Here is final version....I think......

  • the_astro (28-Mar-2014 01:31)

    Possibly more constructive feedback:

Looks like you want a fast aggro deck.  Thoughts:

    - Lose Steppe Lynx for something more reliable.

    - Lose Arbiter for something with more punch.

    - Mind the human/Champion interaction (avoid non-humans OR Champion).

    - Honor of the Pure is the last card to add, I think.  If there isn't something better in the slot, add it.  Don't take out a really good card to add it, though.

    - Remove the Suppression Fields for something with more impact.

    - Land seems about right.  If you curve at 3, you can get away with less.  Not needed, though.

    Going aggro:

Accorder Paladin, Blade of the Sixth Pride, Daring Skyjek, Isamaru, Hound of Konda, Savannah Lions, Soldier of the Pantheon, Spirit of the Labyrinth, Student of Warfare, Thalia, War Falcon*

    Bonus Gas Tech: Immortal Servitude

Bill, might I interest you in some Allies?  Tribal? Check.  White?  Check.  Lifegain?  Check.  Viable?  Check.  I mean, they seem perfect for you.

  • the_astro (28-Mar-2014 01:18)

I think that this is better.  I do not like Steppe Lynx without fetches.  I've tried.  It ain't pretty.  I'm not sure I like maindeck hate like Supression Field, but you're the Modern guy, not me.  Honor of the Pure seems bad outside of token swarm decks.  I still think this tries to do too many things.  Is it a swarm deck (more tokens)?  Is it a hatebears deck (more bears)?  Is it a Martyr-Proc deck (more lifegain)?  There are lots of ways to take white, but I'm not sure you can take it all ways.  Also, if you like Weenie Swarm with an edge, just gander at Quest for the Holy Relic.  I think it pops up from time to time.

Updated, I am liking what I am seeing.

  • the_astro (27-Mar-2014 18:44)

You are never casting True Conviction with 22 lands in Modern.  Unless I'm missing something...  I don't like Pithing Needle in the mainboard.  I'm not sure on Windbrisk Heights.  Seems like more of a Tokens card.  This seems pulled between Hate Bears, Tokens, and traditional White Weenie.  Dryad Militant does not stop Living End.  If you are really concerned about Goyf and Living End, I'd suggest Relics if you need more than RiP.  I do feel that Militant is underused, so I like that card.  Someone with more Modern knowledge than I have can speak to this, but I'm not sure I like Ghost Quarter.  Something more like 18 Plains, 4 Tec Edge for low curve, 20 Plains 4 Tec Edge for high curve seems likely.
