Notes

+1 2/2 Bird Token

Hard: Silverchase Fox, Skulking Knight, Clockwork Hydra, Pyroclasm = Testing triggers, when state-based actions are checked, and abilities being countered on resolution from having an illegal target. NAP controls Skulking Knight and Silverchase Fox. AP controls Clockwork Hydra with three +1/+1 counters on it and has just cast Pyroclasm. NAP is at 3 life. Can AP win?

Easy: Elvish Visionary, Rancor, Fog Bank = Trample with damage prevention. Visionary with Rancor attacks, Fog Bank blocks. How can damage be assigned by the attacking player?

Medium: Pharika's Cure, Crystalline Nautilus = Triggered abilities, spells being countered on resolution for having an illegal target, but cast with a legal target. You control Crystalline Nautilus and I cast Pharika's Cure, targeting it. Do I gain life?

Medium: Canyon Minotaur, Lure, Infiltration Lens, Glint Hawk Idol, Cloud Elemental, Alchemist's Apprentice, Pillarfield Ox, Plains = Blocking requirements (with a relevant blocking restriction as well), and also the trigger on Infiltration Lens being a per-blocker effect and a may. I control Canyon Minotaur enchanted with Lure, equipped with Infiltration Lens and I attack into your field of Glint Hawl Idol, Cloud Elemental, Alchemist's Apprentice, Pillarfield Ox, and Plains. What are legal blocks? For each block, how many cards will I draw?

Medium: Sentinel Spider, Sylvok Lifestaff, Turn to Slag = Damage doesn't kill creatures, state-based actions kill creatures, and also resolving all instructions on a spell in order before anything else. Sentinel Spider is equipped with Sylvok Lifestaff. You cast Turn to Slag on my Sentinel Spider. Do I gain life?

Medium: Canyon Minotaur x3, Silverchase Fox, Gavony Ironwright = Static abilities, when state-based actions are checked, and the fact that damage is dealt simultaneously. I am at six life. You attack with three Canyon Minotaurs. I block two of them with my Silverchase Fox and Gavony Ironwright respectively. What happens after damage?

Medium: Rakish Heir, Fireshrieker, Wild Hunger, Bird Token, Fling = Double-Strike with a deals damage trigger, trample with no blocker, double-strike with trample. I attack with Rakish Heir equipped with Fireshrieker, you block with Bird Token and, before damage, Fling the token at my Heir, and I respond with Wild Hunger, targeting my Heir. What happens? How much damage do you take?

Medium (versatile): Canyon Minotaur, Rancor, Fling, Runeclaw Bear, Mark of the Vampire = Spells using last-known information. Canyon Minotaur is enchanted by Rancor. Runeclaw Bear is enchanted by Mark of the Vampire. I fling Canyon Minotaur at Runeclaw Bear. How much damage is dealt? Upgrade to the question is to ask what order the cards go to the graveyard and when all effects resolve.

Easy-ish: Cathedral Sanctifier, Laboratory Maniac, Cyclops of Eternal Fury, Arms Dealer, Seething Song = Triggered ability versus replacement effect versus static ability versus activated ability versus spell ability. Question is what are each of the abilities.

Medium: Deathrite Shaman, Llanowar Elves = Mana ability versus an activated ability that produces mana. Can a player respond to you activating Llanowar Elves ability? How about Deathrite Shaman's exile a land for mana ability?

Hard: Evil Twin, Soul Ransom, Trait Doctoring, Mistform Ultimus, Cloudchaser Kestrel, Archetype of Imagination, Consuming Aberration, Serendib Sorcerer, Giant Growth, Pouncing Wurm, Merfolk Thaumaturgist = Layers. Do you speak it?

Medium: Midnight Guard, Abrupt Decay, Gods Willing = Countered by the game versus can't be countered by spells or abilities. Abrupt Decay targeting Midnight Guard, Gods Willing in response, resolves naming black. What happens?

Medium: Undead Minotaur, Ember Beast, Bog Serpent, Boros Battleshaper, Oppressive Rays = Requirements and restrictions. First, setup is you control Undead Minotaur, Ember Beast, and Bog Serpent. I control Boros Battleshaper and no swamps. At beginning of combat, I say your Ember Beast must attack this turn and I do not prohibit anything from attacking or blocking. What are legal attacks for you to declare this turn? Say I make it so Undead Minotaur cannot attack or block. What are legal attacks? Does this change if I control a swamp? Now put Oppressive Rays on Undead Minotaur, same target for the Battleshaper's ability, I control a swamp, and I say Bog Serpent cannot attack. What are legal attacks for you to declare, as in are you required to pay 3 mana if able?

Medium: Prized Unicorn, Madcap Skills, Diregraf Escort, Hundred-Handed One, Walking Corpse = Requirements and restrictions. Prized Unicorn has Madcap Skills and is attacking along with Diregraf Escort into a monstrous Hundred-Handed One and a Walking Corpse. Prized Unicorn is soul bonded to Diregraf Escort. What are legal blocks? Now say Diregraf Escort and Prized Unicorn are not soul bonded. What are legal blocks?
