Every rare and foil I ever got went immediately into a Pro-Fit sleeve and then into secure storage cases.  I also tried to sleeve up any uncommons that rose above $3, but I may have missed some since I mostly played Commander.  No card leaves my hands in worse condition than I received it! 

My basic shipping methods are as follows (based on total card value):
<$20: Sleeve+Toploader+Paper in a Plain White Envelope
>$20: Sleeve+Toploader (or small case) in a Bubble Mailer
Note that this means all rares/foils will be double-sleeved, or inner-sleeved and in a case together, for added protection.
If you want <$20 worth of bulk rares and they won't fit in a PWE, I will ask you to cover shipping a bubble mailer (~$2 of value to make up for postage difference).

Since I am selling out of the hobby altogether, I might be willing to cut you a major deal if you take a huge chunk of my collection off my hands, as long as you pay at least 70% of the total listed value (which is 30% less than you'd pay at a store, and 30% more than the store would pay me).  It pays to cut out the middle man!

I am highly critical of card quality, and I double-check my grading before finalizing any trades.  I hate being ripped off, and I'd never want to rip anyone else off, either.  If you're not satisfied with your received card(s), please let me know and we'll rectify it.
