This deck used to be voltron equipment.  But with the slew of mass artifact tokens from Kaladesh to Ixalan, the deck has become more about getting as much gold/treasure/myr/thopters/servos/clues on the battlefield as possible.  Silas Renn serves mostly for color enabling, but he can also serve as a reusable blocker, a graveyard retriever when your equipment dies, or even a second threat.

This deck has slowed down in tempo, but it can serve pretty well in a 3-player game due to Akiri's vigilance and the versatility of partner commanders.
