Notes

Source: Inquest #21 (Jan 1997), p.39; author: Mike Ruff

"Possibly the most fun deck on the planet, this set of cards takes a lot of the skill out of Magic and hands things over to Lady Luck.  It also manages to confuse, annoy and generally piss off your opponents.

Ultimate Chaos is just that: *Chaos*.  It includes everything that has an element of luck or that is fairly chaotic.  Throw in most of the cards that make you flip a coin and all the red cards that have 'chaos' in their names and it's enough to make you flip (literally!).

And speaking of flipping... with cards like Mana Clash, Bottle of Suleiman, Mana Crypt and Game of Chaos, your thumb could get pretty tired flipping that coin for the ultimate advantage.

Obviously, the best forum for Ultimate Chaos is in a multiplayer 'chaos' game.  What could be more fun than a massive creature auction?  And the best part about this deck is that you finally get to play with the much-maligned Goblin Artisans.  (Useful when casting your otherwise worthless Goblin Lyre!)

The goal with this deck isn't necessarily to win... that makes too much sense.  If you can manage to reduce the game to a coin flip - say, with a Game of Chaos raised to the stakes of 16 life - who cares whether you win or lose?"
