Notes
This deck is still a first and very sketchy early build, but the lay-out is definitely clear. This deck revolves around the planar chaos and invasion dragons. The dragons don't have much in common with each other asides their 6/6 for 6 status. How I exploit this is with several sweepers that are just slightly too small to kill the dragons.
Furthermore, this deck's support for the main plan lies mostly in those sweepers and some very disruptive spells and countermagic. Of note is that this deck has a couple of land destruction spells in it. I like to keep things reasonable though, so this deck will usually leave all decks with some lands still in play. It merely prunes half or a set number like 4 or 5 of them. This is just to keep some of the ridiculous mana ramp decks in check.
Of all my decks, this one is one with the least theme to it. This is because this deck was meant as an approximation of the last deck of the guy who got me into magic. His collection was stolen many years ago, and I've tried to collect enough cards to recreate parts of it.
thus far this deck has performed admirably, though I am still working on some improvements. I don't feel that some cards carry their weight, like the soul of the harvest or even the commander of the deck. Child of alara almost hinders what my deck tries to do so I might replace him with another generic commander. As long as it's a 6/6.
