Magic the Gathering Decks
Hello, all
Wanted to reach out, and give everyone a personal update, since I'm sure you've all been chomping at the bit to get updates on good ol' Steven. Joking aside, I've come to a few decisions about life moving forward, and wanted to share here.
As of today, I will no longer be trading on Deckbox. I've enjoyed the time I've spent here, and have made some very good penpal style internet friends, but to quote the great John Coffey, 'I'm tired, Boss'.
I'm 46 years old, a father of 4, and spend too much time complaining that I still don't own a home, while burning hundreds on cards every year between boxes, materials, and shipping, and sitting on decks that total a potential down-payment on said house. WOTC continues to pump out new sets and cards at a crippling rate, and half of them aren't even Magic anymore...and I never signed up to play Fortnite the Gathering. I know bitching about UB is rote at this point, but I've never really been against it until it flooded the game. I just can't keep up, and in all honesty, I don't really want to, anymore.
I've also gotten really good at my proxy foil game, and can build decks for $75 between materials and ink, rather than the thousands it takes for the nicer variants I want. So I can still play, while putting my money toward more important things.
With all of this in mind, I will still be here, and still use DB for deckbuilding, and conversation with anyone who'd like to have it.
I have also unlocked my inventory, and will be selling my cards, if there's anything anyone wants. Just hit me up. I've grown to trust the people in this group, and anyone who is a member gets pricing at 90% of TCGPlayer Low. Any exceptions will be listed on my profile page.
