its a survey to find out about comic buying habits and the people who buy them... im thinking of opening a local shop and am in the process of developing a business plan for it so im trying to figure out the target market

I'll complete your survey. I'm guessing that others have already pulled together this type of data. It might be worth a visit to a research librarian at your local library, if you can't turn up anything via Google/Google Scholar.

Yeah I tried a Google scholar search didn't really get anything I should try the library at the university.

Try contacting the Small Business Administration (SBA) office in your area. They might well have access to the information you'd want.

You start out asking about comic shops, but it seems to morph into questions about local game stores. You might wish to clarify your intentions. My local game store doesn't sell any comics. The comic shops nearest me sell very few CCGs.

One of my LGS's does both comics and games. A lot of gamers tend to read comics and vice-versa.
