Outstanding job, Sebi and the Team! Thank you for making this great great service! I use it daily and recommend it to each and every mtg player I know and meet.
Same here. It's clean, simple, and useful. What every service should hope to be.

I have one request. Instead of marking all cards available for trade, would it be possible to mark cards that you have a certain amount of? For instance, I would like to trade cards that I have at least 1 playset of. It would be great if I can set that up easily.
Thanks for all the hard work. Looking forward to the new site!
I +1 this one. That's a feature I'd love to see, too. I'm trying to keep playsets, but am trading all additional copies.
I realize it may need to wait until the next release (or the one after that , but it is definitely something I'd like to see.
+1 from me too, though I'm fine with it waiting until a later release.
The alpha site looks great!!! Thank you so much for the work you've done. :-)
I like some of the budget decks showcased on gatheringmagic.com. They don't take much to ramp up into a more viable FNM deck (most of the time).
As such, I modified their recent "Favorable Winds" deck as it was a little too basic in my book and didn't take advantage of the Azorius Keyrune which seems like a very sound fit for this deck. I also happened upon a couple of Jace, Architect of Thought's and thought they might fit in here too.
So, here's my "Favorable Winds" deck:
http://deckbox.org/sets/270215
So far, 9/10 new hands are playable with favorable draws to boot.
Other contenders for the deck are:
Serra Avenger
Angel of Serenity
Geist of Saint Traft
I really don't care if Traft dies as I really just want his 4/4 angel to be +2/+2 or more when she attacks once or twice.
I'm sure there's a few tweaks that could be made to harden the deck a bit so suggestions and opinions are wanted.
If you like it and/or use it, let me know (especially if you use it).
I'm already considering swapping the Jaces for Trafts...
Saw similar deck on http://GatheringMagic.com a couple weeks back...
I'm thinking it might stand a good chance for Standard at Game Day...
Any thoughts as to how to make it more solid?

Thoughts on its weaknesses against the common delver/jund huntmaster stuff (and how to improve)?
I'm corvair64 on Cockatrice. I just started using it the other day. It's taking me a bit of time to get used to the shortcuts, but feel free to add me.
I think I found the fastest way to enter is to do an advanced card search by set.
Then just update the numbers from 0 to whatever you have for each card.
I like entering the details for the more expensive cards. I'm slowly going back through and entering details for all cards though, as I think they're supposed to be allowing for card prices by edition.
At any rate, numbers are quicker for me than typing and spell checking all the names.
With the Jace/Worldfire combo. don't you have to cast the exiled cards immediately? As in, before you have a chance to cast Worldfire?
One of the features requested is to grab prices by edition for all cards.
This should fix the issue of seemingly inflated land prices (dang full-art lands).
As a work-around, you can build a deck that consists of ALL of your lands, then subtract the deck value from your total inventory value.
Darn... my LGS priced the leftovers at $30.
I'd rather buy 1/2 a box.
TyWooOneTime wrote:But you can apparently trade the die from them for like $6-8 each... FOR DICE!
I did: three for $20.
Where can I get in on this action? I don't need any dice. They're not even good for rolling (spindown).
Saw one on eBay with a current bid of $15.
I'm hoping my LGS will let them go for $18-$20. They sell packs for $3.
Come Friday, we'll see.
So what happens to all the leftover pre-release boxes? Anyone know?
we pulled like crazy...
I'm not alone in thinking that the boxes used for Pre-release have MANY more mythics and decent rares than post-release boxes.
I don't have proof, but I'm pretty sure everyone at my event pulled at least 1 mythic rare.
Myself, I pulled:
1x foil Temple Garden (which I traded after the event for a Geist of Saint Traft and a Korean Drowned Catacomb).
1x Detention Sphere
2x Angel of Serenity (1 in guild box and 1 in winning packs)
1x Necropolis Regent (winning packs)
1x Blood Crypt (winning packs)
and more (can't recall at the moment)

SMH...
Guess he was playing Stab wound.
Any other MTG puns? Leave them in the replies.
I forgot to mention, we had 26 players.
Top 4 was Azorius (Me), Selesnya (2nd), Golgari and Rakdos... I was surprised that Izzet didn't make it, but glad the top 4 was balanced... The Selesnya deck that made it to top 4 was awesome. Very aggressive and fast (amazingly so).
That Guildmade is incredible in limited.
So I was right, guildmage, keyrune... Other staples were the promo (duh), and guild gate. The prerelease was fun. I tied for 1st (we ran short on time). I chose Azorius and pulled detention sphere as the guild pack rare and a Angel of Serenity in one of my packs . It was the game winner in 6 or 7 games.
I'm going with Azorius because of curve of flyers available and the control it offers. Hopefully, it'll play well against Izzet and Rakdos... Golgari's Troll looks scary to face too... A turn 3 attack for up to 7 damage + regenerate and trample is crazy. Especially when you can start scavenging what you discarded as well. :-)
Sweet link!
I knew about the promo, but didn't see the guild-gate part.
I'm counting on the Guildmage and Keyrune due to the explicit tasks of the player needing to play them. I'm glad someone put together the lists on that site, as I was planning on having to do it tonight myself. Seeing everything up there like that, I can't help but see Selesnya looks to be pretty weak... Sure, they have populate, but what good is that when there's nothing good to populate. It seems like the only true win (even with white) is to play the Grove of the Guardian... sure everything has populate, but what, exactly are you populating, and what happens when you get someone's overloaded Cyclonic Rift coming your direction?
Looks like you can probably expect a Guildmage, a Keyrune, and maybe a Legendary in your guild pack among other things (based on the Achievement Cards).
"I think Wizards did a great job balancing all of the different guilds (for limited at least), so I'm having a difficult time choosing which guild I actually want to choose.....
I dunno, that Izzet promo dragon is pretty game ending... Turn 5 flyer with haste + his ability... Talk about saving your counterspells...:|
Just thought I'd share two of Gathering Magic's articles as well as one of Wizards...
GM's article focuses on the commons of each guild since you'll probably need to use them and will have so many.

o-limited/
and this one focuses on a little prep (the land rule is nice):

xperience/
WotC's shares the achievement cards for each guild, whicch I believe hints at what'll be in the guild packs for each guild.

Both worth a look.
I think Supreme Verdict isn't as good simply because if you have to pull the trigger on it while your Elocutors are out, you'll have to survive another 5 turns.
The supreme verdicts are there for pre-filibuster board wipes, as well as ways of clearing the board if the filibuster isn't working out. It's kind of a flavor preference too... what better way to end a filibuster then to clear the room?
The green splash is interesting too, since fog is so cheap... but I think there's too many dual-color casting costs to effectively support it.
Ghostly Possession is a great card to lock down their creatures from dealing any damage to you, and pairs amazingly well with Palisade Giant as well.
THAT's awesome! Making the switch now.
I like the Azor's Elocutors effect... It relies on slowing down decks, and without ramping, will take 10 turns to win (minimum).
But ten turns isn't so long when you have Cancel, Dissipate, Detention Sphere, along with Fog Bank, Palisade Giant, and a few others, does it?
http://deckbox.org/sets/231009
I tried to balance out the removal with the barriers...
Any thoughts/Suggestions?
I'm sure the sideboard could be rounded out a bit. Also, please correct me if I'm wrong that paying life (shock land use) != damage... Therefore it shouldn't affect the filibuster counters, correct?
Return to Ravnica is now in deckbox!
Detention Sphere

Same
Unless something changed, right now all of the card listings come from Gatherer. And sadly, Wizards doesn't usually add the new set to Gatherer until a day or two before the pre-release, so they will most likely be available between Thursday and the weekend at some point.
It's here! It's here! RTR is in Gatherer
