Does a bubble mailer with cards in qualify as a Parcel?

As I found out today, it depends.

At my local post office, I've never had a problem. I mail out several dozen bubble mailers per week and never have an issue getting delivery confirmation for it. This afternoon I was a couple towns over and dropped in to ship out my trades from the weekend. The clerk there was adamant that delivery confirmation was not allowed on bubble mailers.

Yep. If it doesn't work, try another Postal Office.

My trader just responded today and everything is okay. The feedback system isn't as great as it could be, since it falsely inflates when people cancel trades. This is a community though, and I've heard very very little about people screwing each other over, especially when address trades are involved.

Should we have a bad traders thread? Is it too much for a community based trading system? I'm completely biased due to a trader disappearing on me atm. What do you guys think?

How long should I wait before being slightly angry?

I picked up a 12 pack of bubble envelopes at staples for ten bucks. Post office was 1.5 each so plan ahead with bulk and u are saving big.

Heck, if you don't want to keep 500 envelopes, you can always just sell the ones that you aren't using at lower quantities for higher prices tongue I have a feeling I'll be using all 1000 of the bubble mailers that I bought though.

I did a writeup the other day on how to package cards, as well as how to save considerable money on packaging and delivery confirmation.

I usually only spend $1.64 on postage, and frequently just reuse padded envelopes that people have sent me.

I linked the sticky to your thread, maru wink You can have all of my upvotes ever.

packaging instructions are now stickied. I spend exactly 2 bucks packaging and getting delivery confirmation with each trade nowadays if the cards are worth over 50 dollars. Otherwise, I've never had problems with a well secured toploader in a white envelope.

The worst trade you can make is one where you unintentionally destroy your cards. Please follow these guidelines written by an experienced trader in our community to properly pack your cards and ship your package for $1 less than what the post office will charge you. If you're looking to trade regularly, I would suggest buying size 000 bubble mailers in bulk from ebay for less than 50 cents apiece.

I have two Lilianas and I'm interested in a Bayou or a Savannah. If you're willing to trade, would you be okay with sending over scans of the cards?

For 5 bucks shipping, I can get you 1 Huntmaster and 1 Strangleroot sent out tomorrow with 2-3 day shipping. A Snapcaster and a Grand Abolisher should cover the entire cost. Let me know if you're interested.

I have a playset. Looking to trade them all at once.

Edit: Although 3 Darkslicks for 2 Snapcasters works out quite nicely.

Sent you a trade request.

I might have some. Will check tomorrow morning. Some might be Chinese >_>.

What I'm hearing from you guys is that you want a manual eBay system, minus the fees. Instead of putting a reserve price, couldn't the seller just start the auction at their minimum price?

I am fond of bad trader sections and would be willing to ask deckbox admins for another section if needed.

I have a silly question. I have two Copper Myrs and one is lightly but distinctively tinted brown (looks like copper tongue), while the other is normal colored (mostly silver). The entire tinted card is discolored. Is this a misprint or a discoloration from storage problems? I've only seen it on the two Copper Myrs that I have.

Rules

1. Please read the trading guidelines under /r/magictcg's sidebar. All rules that apply there will apply here as well.

2. RE: Feedback

  • Under no circumstances should you give negative feedback if: 1) you received communication from the other party and 2) you received the cards in the condition that you expected them to be in. Please use the text box provided to note excessively slow shipping.

  • Trades are finalized once addresses are confirmed. However, trades are considered invalid if: 1) neither party has shipped their cards and 2) one or more parties have not attempted to make contact within a week of confirmation. Under these conditions, no feedback should be given and you may consider your cards up-for-trade again.

  • Negative feedback should be given if and only if you have confirmation (via delivery confirmation number/tracking) that your package has been received, but the other party has not shipped their cards and has not responded to any messages for over 3 weeks. The post office screws up sometimes and packages may take longer to arrive, especially for international exchanges.

  • Negative feedback should always be followed up with a report to the admins.

3. In the event that your trading partner has disappeared for a long time, please contact the admins and they will investigate your case. Feel free to start a thread about your situation in the meantime, in case other users are also having problems with the same trader.
