2. On an Accept action, does it check all of the cards in the trade or just the cards of the trader performing the action? Would ideally check them all to protect both traders.
3. It would save time in some cases if it also performed this check on the Propose action. This should probably only check the cards of the proposing user, because I think it's a better user experience to have the other user get an error on Accepting instead of relying on the user who's Proposal action failed to tell the other user that they need to put cards on their tradelist.
4. Could this have an "auto-fix"? i.e. I click propose or accept and it gives me the error, but asks if I want to add those cards to my tradelist and continue the action. Nice.
I think these are wonderful ideas. I like the idea of not being able to trade out of inventory and these seem like a really good fix for issues surrounding that.
I've played almost this exact same list and I can attest that it is solid. I will be testing out a BR Rack build tomorrow for funsies.
This was mentioned by sebi on the second page of the announcement thread:
sebi wrote:Trades cannot be accepted anymore unless all cards in them are available in the inventory and tradelist.
Hence, when the first trade for your Lightning Bolt is accepted, the Lightning Bolt is removed. The second trade cannot be accepted anymore unless you add a new ligthing bolt to your inventory.
in response to this question:

I have one Lightning Bolt (for example) in my collection. I make several (let's say two) proposals offering this same card up for trade. Both of thm are accepted. With one of them, I confirm my address and send the Lightning Bolt. I no longer have a Lightning Bolt in my possession. With the other one, I cancel the trade and...one Lightning Bolt is added back onto my inventory and tradelist? Or...dot dot dot, question marks?
Hmm, didn't know those existed. Regardless, if Deckbox tried to use them TCG would change something to cut them off from the information.

Technically they just cut off Deckbox's API access to tcgplayer. It's not like there aren't any number of other ways of acquiring the information if you want to use it, however.
Heh, you go ahead and try to get all of their pricing information without using their API. There's only, what, 13.6k cards without including all of the different printings. Oh, and do this at least once a day. Hope your server doesn't melt. Even if you did get the info some other way TCG would just make a change to cut of that access point.
I guarantee you that Deckbox does not do anything with TCG pricing information simply because access to that information was cut off when Deckbox released the Marketplace feature. I thought that DB average was based on the current price of available copies. I have an Alpha Tropical Island for sale and every time I change the price the DB average adjusts to match since I'm the only one selling one of those. Though with the information you guys have presented would indicate that there are other factors taken into account when calculating the average.

The way I heard it, that one's not actually related to power level or consistency, it's just that Sensei's Top leads to too much shuffling of unwanted top cards back into the library, which makes tournaments tend to drag ass as every. Single. Round goes to time and extra turns.
Sensei's in the Counter-Top combo (The only place I've seen it played in Legacy) is only used for the top-deck manipulation. No shuffling involved there. If shuffling does happen it's because of something else, not the Top.
Mental Misstep is banned because WotC doesn't like free counterspells.
Shoe wrote:why do they hate consistency so much?
Consistency leads to a stale format.
If Ancestral Vision, Ponder, and Preordain were legal Blue would easily (if it isn't already) be the most played color. Bloodbraid Elf, DRS, and Punishing Fire at different times made Jund too good. Dread Return because Dredge is really good and because it could make reanimator strategies broken. Glimpse of Nature because Elves is a deck, also because it's broken. Golgari Grave-Troll because they're worried that Dredge will be too powerful.
Sensei's Divining Top is one of the most ridiculous cards ever printed. Sensei's + Counterbalance = {1}: Counter target spell. That's the cornerstone of legacy UW miracles which is a hugely successful deck. If that were in modern it would completely dominate the format.
Shoe wrote:That is a hell uv a wierd Banned List
What cards on that list do you think shouldn't (or should) be there? I've been playing since around when Zendikar came out so I wasn't playing while many of those cards were in standard. I know a bunch of them are on there because they are part of a degenerate combo (Blazing Shoal, Second Sunrise, Seething Song, Punishing Fire, SFM, Skullclamp, Sword of the Meek). Artifact Lands are banned simply because they were a bad idea to print to begin with.
Ancestral Vision is banned in modern.
sebi wrote:But I suppose it would be better to remove them when the order is placed & paid for....
And then replaced into the wishlist if the order gets cancelled.
TCG prices are no longer available on Deckbox as TCG pulled their API support when Deckbox released their Marketplace feature. It would be nice to be able to set the price shown to the Min Deckbox price though.
No worries. Go here and post a new topic following the structure found here.
First, if you're referring to this trade, start a BTR. That person has had multiple BTRs filed against him for bad trade practices.
Otherwise:
Did you tell them that you got tracking? If you didn't, tell them and give them the number and see what they say then. If you did, double-check the receipt/paypal email to make sure the address was correct. If the address matches what they gave you and they still claim to not have received it then it would probably be up to the admins to decide what to do. I remember seeing a BTR for a similar situation, but I don't remember the outcome.
Hope this helps!
First, this is the correct place to post this.
It looks like you've sent a message (or more than one) that hasn't been viewed by your trade partner. (This is indicated by the chat bubble next to the trade on his trades page) Also, he hasn't been online for 4 days. While this seems like a long time keep in mind that this is a hobby and everything else in our lives should take a higher priority. That is something I need to remind myself of from time to time as well.
I would send him an email. Point out that the tracking information shows that the cards are sitting at the post office. I assume this is through Canada Post which I don't know much about, but I would assume that the package would be returned to you if it doesn't get picked up after X number of days.
Either way this isn't particularly good communication or trade practice and your feedback once the trade is complete should probably reflect that.
jassi007 wrote:So another user has opened a BTR to early. https://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=22802 Curious if he'll be receiving a negative or if fairpointmagic got one because basically he annoyed the deckbox mods. Or if in fact he got a negative on one trade because of his dissatisfaction with the outcome of a different trade.
Fairportmagic didn't get the negative simply because he started the BTR too early. There were a number of things that contributed.
Chaim wrote:I think that it may be connectivity issues
I understand the sentiments you guys are presenting, but I think I'm more on Sebi's side on this. The point of the BTR forum is to weed out bad traders. We submit BTRs in order to get a judgment from the administrators of the site. If we aren't going to respect their decision(s) then the forum becomes useless. We give them the power to decide the outcome of a case, but you don't want them to have the power to enforce their decision? That seems inconsistent to me.
Also, we don't know when the positive feedback was left. It's definitely possible that the positive feedback was left prematurely, before the case was decided. I think we need that person's input before we can make an informed decision.

Or Middle-click.

Thanks for asking. Only interested in English.
