Currently, providing a tracking number to a buyer doesn't post it on the order page so the seller cannot see it. At the very least it would be really nice if it were available to both parties.

In addition, it would be extremely convenient for the entering of the tracking number to automatically generate a link to the USPS/UPS/etc page. All tracking numbers follow the same format so it should be pretty easy to write an algorithm that can determine which carrier it is from.

I have to agree with 9700377 in that this would be a nice feature to have, but I think it would be low on the priority list. When I am browsing profiles and I find one that's a good match I center+click (or Ctrl+click) on the "new trade" link which automatically opens it in a new tab. Unless you're adding over 20 cards it really isn't that big of a deal.

Also, Ctrl+Tab (and Ctrl+Shift+Tab) is your friend.

Bump. Now just looking to move the Alpha Trop.

Yep, found it. Fixed, thanks for the info!

Looks good now. Thanks smile

I did add the country flag to those titles today, so that might have caused it, but this looks like a pretty weird bug.

It looks like that's it. Clicking on the country flag brings me to the person's profile.

Add: Simply leaving the trade page open for ~5 seconds and the flag changes into the profile link.

Pushed a fix for this now, I think it's fine, but I did not test too much, there are many overlap cases...

Total value on profile pages looks good, but it's still using the old (bad) value on the trading opportunities page. Thanks for working on it. smile

Title pretty much sums it up. I'm not sure exactly what is causing it and I haven't been able to reproduce it consistently, but I have seen it more than once starting today. See attached.

This is what I do and I've had good success with it. I won't say it's 100% the best list to run, but I haven't regretted any of the cards yet.

I also play modern and legacy burn, I think its a better then average card.

It's decent T1 and when your opponent is at about 10ish life. When you need the 4 damage to close the game out your opponent won't take the damage and they will probably have removal for it so it's a terrible draw late game. Even T1 it's not as good as Goblin Guide. There are no cards in legacy burn that should be taken out for it. I can understand running it in modern if you want to run mono-red, but RW and BRW are sooooo much better.

In my experience, control decks like to run a bunch of removal and counters to stall the game long enough to be able to play big bombs, the most common at the moment being Elspeth, Sun's Champion. These decks generally run very few creatures.

Soldier of the Pantheon is an aggro card that doesn't belong in a control deck.
Ajani's Pridemate is best when in a deck that focuses on gaining life. Otherwise it's just a 2/2 for 2 which is nothing special.
Spellheart Chimera is best in a UR counter-burn deck which this kind of is, but would need some changes.
Thassa's Dissipate will only ever be "Counter target spell unless it's controller pays 1" because Spellheart Chimera is the only permanent that provides blue devotion. If you don't have a Chimera out it's a dead card.

If you want to go the typical full counter route, drop the white creatures and add some sweepers (as you said) and some big bombs. Sweepers I can think of: Anger of the Gods Mass Calcify and End Hostilities which will be printed in Khans of Tarkir.

If you want to go the counter-burn deck route, drop the white creatures and add more creatures that synergize with spells. I honestly couldn't tell you what this deck would look like because I play 0 standard, but I'm sure someone on these forums could help out if you want to do that.

It's early in the morning here so I didn't realize until after posting that this is the exact same as the original issue that I reported, not something different.

Bump, because this is really annoying to me. I also noticed recently that the total trade value includes X of each "version" that a trader has available where X is the number on your wishlist.

For example:
I have 1 Foil Stoke the Flames on my wishlist.
When I got to Dawsonjay's profile it shows a total trade value of $30 which includes 1 LP copy and 1 NM copy.
I only want 1 copy so the total trade value should be $15.

I think the issue isn't about manually editing (btw I didn't realize it was worth so much right now, and if I remember correctly, I have tons of it from Alliances, Sixth and Portal sitting in one of my common boxes), the issue is that the algo used for setting up the prices should be tweaked to take things like that into consideration.

For example the algo should take into consideration people's trade and wish lists (so supply and demand), if amount of cards of one type on all trade lists is more than what is on wish lists then there is more supply than demand, and price should be lowered by let's say 10%, if it's other way, price should be increased.
The other way would be to make an average price of all sucesfull trades and another average price from all sell orders, and then make one average price from them, but calculate it with differen weights: ( average_transaction_price * 5 + average_asking_price ) / 6. That would give transaction price 5 times more weight, than asking price.

Our discussion was about the Foil 7th edition Storm Crow only. Non-foil printings are as cheap as they've always been. The problem here is that none of that specific printing (foil 7th) have been sold on DB since the spike so the algorithm didn't automatically update the value.

I've personally pulled tons of cards from packs and other sealed product that seem to have a different finish like you describe, even within the same set. I couldn't tell you what causes the difference (different printer maybe), but they're likely real.

Bump. Got all the legacy burn I need. Now looking for some random foils.

Chaim wrote:

Okay, that is definitely true. The question is, were they in any form of packaging? However, I think this is going a bit far off topic.

They were in booster packs and boxes like any other set. In regards to Suture Priest, even though the "promo" version looks identical to a pack version the fact that the promo version could be distinguishable means it should probably stay as an option.

Chaim wrote:

What I'm finding when I search indicates that it wasn't distributed to players as a set.

There are a ton of things that weren't distributed to players that end up in their hands anyway. Summer magic is probably the most famous.

I propose we set it at $20 or $30 or something in the mean time. It's clearly worth at least $10 as it was selling for that 2 months ago. The 7th foil print run was significantly lower than subsequent sets and it was the first set with foils so it's reasonable that the value is at least a few times that of 8th and 9th edition. What do you think?

sebi wrote:

If we only show the one from compatible sellers, then people will see different minimums... which would be bad if someone references it in a trade, or similar...

Considering this, minimum price should probably stay as is.

I don't disagree with you on any point, I just don't think we can put a reasonably confident value on the card with so little up-to-date information. I personally have a foil 7th Storm Crow that I would absolutely be willing to sell for less than $400 tongue

gumgodMTG wrote:

I don't believe that $400 is accurate, but $1.50 is not accurate any longer either.

Of course cards (and anything else, really) are only worth what people are willing to pay for them. Since there are only 2 copies of the card (that I can find) available it seems reasonable that the going rate is somewhere close to the price of those 2 copies. I agree that $400 is probably high, but we don't have anything else to compare it to at the moment.

Since the "promo" Suture Priest was released in a sealed pack sort of thing it makes sense to keep that version as an option. When I suggested it be removed I didn't know it was released in a sealed package.

Pardon my ignorance, I've been playing and collecting MTG cards when there was almost no internet, and I'm just back and haven't yet grasped all usefull sites. What TCG stands for?

Oh it's not a problem. TCG = TCGPlayer.com. SCG=Star City Games. ABU=ABUGames.

There are 2 copies on TCG right now for $450 and $500 respectively. Ebay has none available. ABU has none available. SCG has none available. Note that SCG doesn't update their prices when they are out of stock. Looks like $400+ is the going rate.
