It looks fine. Theres some similar decks out there that spam stuff into Kiln Fiend/Niv Magus Elemental to win.

Im not sure Wurmcoil fits the deck game play wise but thematically its good. And Wurmcoil is such a generally good card that It wont terribly hurt the deck.

Armed and Dangerous is weak in theme and just alright in game play. Assault Strobe has some steam Punky zombies in the art at least and is cheaper so its easier to work with Quicken.

I'd also drop Tome Scour for something that is productive to the game plan, Even Thoughtscore would at least Cantrip!

Gitaxian Probe would probably fit the Tome Scout slot the best. Remember at some point the idea with this deck is just to spam down some spells and swing for the fences so cantripy things are your friend! Likewise Grapeshot could be a fun one of given that you're trying to spam spells anyway.

heh I got abit lucky and picked up my hierarchs when they were like 20. Aww yeah. big_smile Best investment I've ever traded for. Totally surprised at how amazing they are. Keep an eye out you might be able to get a few for cheap here and there.

It looks like you're headed in the right direction. Personnally I would probably consider Dropping the Summoning Trap + Channel the suns and adding back in 4 Avacyn's pilgrim (or Noble Hierarch if you have Fat Stacks) That will make the deck abit more consistent and should work pretty well I think. Its worth play testing from at least!

I've been working on my own Modern deck designed to Cheat things out for a while now. So I will be honestly critical of your deck now that I've taken a more in depth look. I dont mean to be rude just helpful.

You have probably 1-2 too many ways to cheat out Progenitus. and a few too many ways to look for him. You can just summoning Pact for a Fauna Shaman if you really need to. But you dont have quite enough creatures right now to fund the Fauna Shaman throughout the game.

Similarly I dont particularly like Spear or Nykthos in the deck. You need to decide if you need to get up to 6 mana for Garruk or 9 Mana to Tooth and Nail.

Nor do you have much in the way of disruption. I'd drop Selesnya Charm (the charm is good but outside of Goyf theres not too much in Modern that it picks up in the removal department), pick up 2 more Path to Exile at the very least.

So in short changes I'd recommend...
-Nykthos
-Spear
-Selesnya Charm
-Elvish Mystic?
-2 Summoning Pact
+Birds of Paradise
+Path to Exile
+2-3 Fatties

You want like 8-10 Total of the following:
0-4 Summoning Trap
0-4 Amulet
0-4 Garruk

Like
8-10 of the following:
0-4 Fauna Shaman
0-4 Progenitus
0-4 Worldspine Worm
0-4 Other Green Fatty (Craterhoof Behemoth???)

And then probably 0-3 of The Following
0-2 Summoning Pact
0-2 Tooth and Nail

If you'd like to see my deck the current test pattern is this.. (I havent tested this specific Configuration)

Tooth and Nail?
Summoners Egg?

Leyline specifically lists "nonland" cards so you cant flash out lands otherwise it would be silly! Its useful in the long term if you play a really tight game to do stuff like only cast things at the end of their turn. It can keep them guessing for longer and make playing your scepter safer "Oh you tapped out for something I dont care about? Ok Scepter at end of turn" Then you untap and the scepter is ready and willing.

I've got a stale trade that is complete but the other end of the trade hasnt clicked that they sent anything so I cant click that I recieved... So I cant close the trade. It was just some freebies to a new player (I just asked for the $ of shipping that many cards in a bigger envelope which he provided promptly)so I dont care about the feedback I'd just like to get the trade off my Overview. What do I do?

Im fairly certain Mythic Chance is fixed. The amount of cards in a set doesnt skew the chance of getting a mythic it skews the way they do the print run.

If you want something with long term Value Avacyn Restored is a nice bet, it also has lots of angels woo. If you want something more playable then Journey is good.

I Personally think M12 is undervalued. If you can get a box of it (Should be about 99 still) Try that. Its got a nice mix of stuff and some nice valuable rare cards.

I haven't really thought about it since there is mostly one deck that has artifacts that I face, aside from affinity sometimes. If I main boarded them they'd be pretty dead in other matches.

So you dont want Shriekmaw because its dead in occasional matches that you have trouble with?

And you don't want Ingot Chewer cause its dead in most matches except for the ones that shriekmaw is bad in?

I dunno XD It just seems to me like Shriekmaw and Ingot Chewer (some combo in main and side) is what you need but I could be wrong different players different metas different styles.

How about
Curse of the cabal
Detritivore
Nihilith
rift bolt
riftwing cloudskate
deep-sea kraken
shattered perception
Serum visions
temporal mastery
reforge the soul
Thunderous wrath

I mean its down to personal opinion. But Shriekmaw basically gives you a nice turn 2 play to rid yourself of pesky annoyances when needed or buy yourself a few extra life. Then it hits the yard and comes back latter to help clear the board of anything that did happen to make it back for your opponent.

Its not terribly creative but I honestly think Spike Feeder and Shriekmaw are the standard filler slots right now. That doesnt mean you have to use them but it means you should look at them as the base line. Compare what you're filling to them and see how it works out.

Im not saying Lili can't work and by all means 1-2 could fit the deck just fine I just think its worth reconsidering for other options.

edit:
A few quick other thoughts
Kitchen Finks
Beast Within
simian Spirit guide
Dismember

All seem like they have potential.

Off the top of my head
Spike Feeder
Fulminator Mage
Shriekmaw
Avalanche Riders

All fit in that slot and do good in the deck.

It could certainly work I just think its not an optimal choice.

Its also pretty wicked in EDH.

She could work, but there are alot of cards that can help support living end better in general. Shes not the best way to slow the game down or keep you alive against aggro which is what Living end currently uses its flex slots for.

Two things that work against her

1) Living end is often touted as a Budget deck (Though with Fulminator being so $$$ These days I guess this isnt true any more)
2) You dont want an opponent's creature in their graveyard when you living end. And all your creatures have cycle/sac effects already so her abilities aren't directly beneficial.

Was Avacyn Restored a particularly bad set of cards or is there something else I'm not aware of?

avacyn had some excellent rares /mythics and not alot of great common/uncommons. It got opened alot for those rares. So theres alot of Common and Uncommons with not alot of demand even for commons/uncommons. Also its still very new.

Im not sure the taxing effects are ideal. You might be better off replacing Propaganda and Ghostly prison with Ensnaring Bridge and Rhystic Deluge.

It occurs to me that Meekstone would also seem to be an alright idea for the deck potentially.

it looks good. Nice improvement on your list.

Im not 100% on the leylines but they arent bad so I suppose thats down to personal preference.

I also think it could use some cheap instant speed draw effects. Telling Time Comes to mind. The idea being so you have something to stick on a scepter to help you in longer games. (Or Brainstorm depending on your preferred format!)

The new Improved Pillar of Flame but only to creatures could be a nice swap for shock, though it stops you from going for someone's face.

Likewise the new Satyr firedancer could be useful.

edit: also your link is busted. It had a period at the end of it which is buggering up the way the link works!

having 5 xenagos in the deck seems like you might run into some issues there. But thats assuming that Legends and Planeswalkers interact on that level which Im not sure they do???

Personally I like the wight over the desecration demon and Mind Funeral over Grind but those are both preferences really.

To fill out the last three slots I think I'd probably go something like 2 Lightning Bolts 1 Mind Funeral or some such.

On the sideboard front something like...

2 Shatter Storm / Hurky's Recall
2 Thoughtseize
2 torpor orb
4 Anger of the Gods
2 Fulminator/Tectonic Edge/ghost quarter
3 Tormod's Crypt

Main Deck I think you have a bit of space to tweak your mana too since your red requirements aren't too bad. Something like:

-3 Mountains
+1 Blood Crypt
+2 Tectonic Edge/Ghost Quarter

Could probably work.

Right but you're basically trying to win by beating down an opponent with a fatty after milling them abit.

So some things to consider..

Against decks like zoo or tokens Desecration Demon can be kept off the board by being sacced out against because you have little to no removal to keep the pressure on. And these are the sorts of decks that can afford to because they'll beat you down before you can do anything to stop them.

Similarly Vexing Devil is a good card BUT it is still in bolt range AND if your opponent has the life it makes sense to pay for a devil 90% of the time.

Probe is a great card don't get me wrong. But its a great card in decks where you 1) want to cycle 2) want to see the opponents hand so you know when to go off. This deck wants neither of these things specifically. In the same vein Thoughtscour makes a good substitution because it cantrips, and mills someone for just 1 mana. Its not bad value when filling a cantrip slot like that.

This deck confuses me alittle.

Using Glimpse + Wight and Phantasm is kind of a cool idea. But Im not sure it classifies as mill. Likewise Im not seeing a lot of control elements in here but semantics is relatively minor.

So with that in mind, is your goal to mill your opponent out or use the mill to empower other options?

If Mill is your goal:
-3  Vexing Devil
-1  rakdos Cackler
-2  Wight of precinct six
-4  JAce's Phantasm
-4 gitaxian probe
This needs to be replaced with stuff that further the milling goal.
Hedron Crab
Thought scour
+1 Glimpse the unthinkable
mind grind
mind funeral

If big beats are your preference I would get rid of the following..
-2  Desecration demon
-1 rakdos cackler
-2 damnation
-3 thoughtseize
-4 gitaxian probe
-2 devastation tide
-2-4 archive trap

and I would add more of the following
Wight of precinct six
Vexing Devil
Shelldock Isle????
Breaking // entering
lightning bolt

In general here are some other thoughts.

Lightning bolt is better than thunderous wrath in general. Lilliana doesn't do  a whole lot specifically for this deck because you also need a lot of your cards in hand and you dont have anything with flash back to just use anyway.

On the side board front start with some silver bullets against common deck types. Then add in some other bits and pieces that might be helpful to adjust the way the deck plays.

Torpor Orb
Leyline of Sanctity
Relic of Progenitus
Shatterstorm
hurkyl's recall

what decks do you usually play against? What sort of budget do you have for tweaking the deck?

What are you most happy with?
What are you least happy with?

If you're sticking to casual play it should be fine. I wouldn't bother with the Crucible myself its a nice card but it doesnt keep you alive or progress your board state.

I feel like this deck could use Slumbering Dragon

Im not much of a standard player but i find a few things confusing with the deck so here are some questions before I might be able to make a helpful suggestion big_smile

-A follow up this looks to me like its abit of a midrange/control type deck. Lock the board out of small duders, play big threats then keep the path clear for them. Is that more or less accurate?

-Do you find the rakdos keyrune of any importance? I would have thought a 26th land would have been abit better in a deck like this.

-What about the Warleader's helix and Chained to to the rocks? With many of the big fatties in the format pro white, hexproofable or >4 Toughness I would have assumed these would not be terribly relevant.

-You said when BNG was released you saw your game against mono B improve. Is that because of changes to their deck or because of the extra temples?? I cant imagine Bile blight or Revoke existence being of particular note against them (Unless Im missing something?)
