Just an FYI, so we can get an update here whenever possible.  Thanks!

I sent you a trade and added the stuff you mentioned, feel free to add anything else you may see.

I'm not in need of anything in particular, but I would definitely trade for those and more, just let me know if you see anything you want from me and I can try to match up with value from your side.

Feel free to dig through my list and send me a trade, I can usually find some value to match.

One down, one to go!

Evening bump.  Anybody think they can give me a hand on finally acquiring these?

Hello everyone!

Been trying to track down a pair of Verdant Catacombs recently, but haven't had any luck.  Hopefully you guys can lend me a hand and help me (slowly) finish up my first Legacy deck!

I have a bunch of stuff up for grabs, including but not limited to....
Sword of Fire and Ice
Sensei's Divining Top
Aether Vial
Enlightened Tutor
Academy Ruins

I'd definitely be willing to look at other trades as well, but my main priority are the Catacombs.
Thanks for taking a look!

I've seen this as well.  The action that causes the behavior is when you open a popup for a card to edit the quantity for your inventory/tradelist/wishlist/whatever and then apply a change.

Not entirely sure why that is, something to do with reloading the card table and not reapplying the click binding, or something like that maybe.

I'm pretty sure that I have a couple of Wastelands, a Cursed Scroll and probably some less impressive ones, like Stone Rain.
What kind of value do you put on them?

Edit: Actually, I'm thinking about the World Championship cards, not sure if that's what you mean or not. Probably not.

At the moment, the card editions are based on those that are listed on the official Gatherer website.  If an edition doesn't exist here, then blame Wizards tongue

Nope.  The article is even tagged with "fake cards".  He's just giving an example of what he thought Wizards could have done with the opportunity.

These don't really exist.  Why would we add them on here?

No, "dying" specifically means going from the battlefield to the graveyard.  Exiling is not dying.

I should have all of these planes from 2012 that I've never used:
Bloodhill Bastion
Gavony
Glen Elendra
Kharasha Foothills
Norn’s Dominion
Quicksilver Sea
Takenuma
The Zephyr Maze
Interplanar Tunnel
Morphic Tide
Grand Ossuary
Hedron Fields of Agadeem
Mount Keralia
Nephalia
Orzhova
Trail of the Mage-Rings
Truga Jungle
Windriddle Palaces
Mutual Epiphany
Time Distortion

If you'd like to try to work out a trade just start one up and let me know.  For a starting point, they're listed on SCG for $1.50 a piece.

See, I think the fact that it does go directly to someone's email kind of does make it spam.  I personally dislike getting random emails from people asking the exact questions that you mention.  I'd much rather prefer someone open a trade and discuss something that way, because it keeps all of my trade-type discussion in one place, e.g. Deckbox.

I agree that being able to message somebody could be nice, like having some type of on site messaging system, rather than linking it to emails.  But really, that's exactly what the trade system houses, so why not use it?  I've had plenty of people open up trade with me just to discuss deck ideas, or ask questions, or whatever.  The options are definitely there, and the fact that it is a "trade" doesn't make it any less real-time communication or more restricting, it's just the wrong title for the way you're choosing to use it, oh well.

Is Modern Masters going to be it's own edition within the database (i.e., will we be able to add Doubling Season to our inventory and mark it as being from the Modern Masters set as opposed to Ravnica?)?

You can already do that right now.

If you haven't noticed, MM has been added now.

Something isn't being encoded correctly for the URL.  If you encode the question mark then it works just fine:

The issue is that all of the version information is pulled from the official Gatherer site, which does not list these types of versions/promos.  At this time I don't know of any plans to add these additional editions.

OK, now I see why we can't understand each other. smile

See, I'm mostly an EDH player, I don't play much of tournament constructed formats like Standard, Modern or Legacy. EDH players tend to pimp their decks, foil them out, build them by particular theme, language or whatever floats their boats. For example a friend of mine has an Azusa deck that is fully foiled - its price is at least several times higher than Deckbox would show him. He spent quite a lot of time (and money) putting his deck together but the deck tool wouldn't help him at all in that matter.

BTW: It kinda shows that the deck tool we're talking about wasn't created with EDH in mind. tongue It also puts the general among the rest of the deck instead of separating him somehow, which results in awkward things like drawing your general in your sample hand (the Statistics tool), including him in your mana curve, suggesting 24 lands in the mana base calculator and so on.

See, that's a huge assumption because I'm really only an EDH player as well (having only dabbled in Standard like twice and nothing else), but my "pimping" is the fact that I have well over a dozen decks, and I'm working on a dozen more at any given time.  I'd rather dump my money/value into giving myself more variety rather than making something pretty.  I don't care how much each specific deck is worth based on the actual cards in it, I care how much it is going to cost me to assemble the next one or rework a current one.  Plus, I know tons of people who pimp out their standard/legacy/whatever decks as well.

Everybody's views are different, and everybody's goals are different, no matter what format.

I totally agree that it would be a great option to incorporate the possibility of listing the exact value of your current deck, but I think you are overestimating the "need" for it for everybody.

Well, I disagree with the price constraint, because it does give you a generally good approximation of the value of a deck or how much it would cost to create.  If you so choose to include some random promo that costs 100x as much as its regular counterpart, then that is an entirely different issue.  Having that general metric for comparison is still useful at the deck level regardless of whether or not it relates to specific versions.  And that right there probably answers the question as to why version is included, so as to specify which version that the price is representing.

This is by design at the moment, essentially decks are agnostic to what you actually have in your inventory because you can obviously build decks on Deckbox with cards that you don't necessarily have.  That being said, it is rather confusing to show a version at all, unless they support the idea of assigning cards from your inventory to a specific deck.

Out of curiosity, what do you value the guild cards at?  I have a few lying around, but never really contemplated trading them.

First off, you have Maelstrom Wanderer listed twice in your deck, so you actually have an extra slot to fill since you only have 99 cards.

Second, I have a few things you need, like Maelstrom Wanderer and Niv-Mizzet (and I can probably scrape up some more as well).  I don't really need anything off your tradelist, but I'd be willing to trade for a few things off the top of your tradelist just to help you along the way, but those few cards don't really add up.  You mentioned that you might be willing to trade out of your inventory, so I'll throw you a trade and we can discuss further there if there might be anything else that you'd be willing to part with.
