Is it the commander deck cards? I've listed a few I pulled from packs and have had no issue. I was also able to list a Lenore.

They posted that on 9/23, two days before it was imported into the database on 9/25. They just jumped the gun a little! I'm sure there's been no issues since.  smile

Hey Sebi! WotC threw another mini edition our way, with the release of the Pioneer Challenger Decks. Most of the cards use original set codes / collector numbers, but 10 cards have their own "shooting star" edition. Scryfall has them all listed, but note that Scryfall incorrectly left off the "r" on Challenger in their set name.

am puzzled by the second box when adding a new inventory listing

Just reread your post, and realized you probably mean when using the Add Cards widget, not when viewing your inventory. There's no "refresh" icon when adding. In any case, if you're talking about the blue box, then the answer is still the same -- your tradelist count.

The color of that box matches the color of the tradelist column when viewing your inventory.

Unfortunately, can't view the attached image -- some SQL error. But if you're talking about the column with the icon that looks sorta like a refresh icon (two green arrows in a circle), that's the quantity you want to list as available for trade.

The column with the gold star is your wishlist count, and the column with the Deckbox icon is how many you need for your deck. If you don't see those columns, they can be shown or hidden using the Columns dropdown.

I'm assuming you're on mobile, because on desktop, all those icons have hover tooltips that explain what they mean. No easy way to see the tooltips on mobile, sadly. You just see them briefly when you tap the icon to sort by that column, but then the page reloads! Argh

Welcome to Deckbox, and more importantly, welcome to MTG!

Hello! I opened a PW-stamped Guardian Project from a Midnight Hunt Promo Pack, which I believe is indistinguishable from the Ikoria Promo Pack version.

I'm a big fan of cards being grouped together when they cannot be distinguished from other versions (I'm looking at you, "Magic Game Day" Suture Priest!), so I'm wondering if we should have a general Promo Pack grouping (like The List) instead of individual Promo Packs groupings for each set?

How do folks feel about this? Are there other solutions you'd prefer?

I fully support this. It's also indistinguishable from the THB, M21, ZNR, and AFR promo pack versions.... Just look at how other sites are categorizing Guardian Project:

  • TCGPlayer lists it under THB, the first promo pack to include it, and no subsequent ones

  • Scryfall lists it under RNA promos, based on the symbol that actually appears on the card

  • CardKingdom lists it under a generic "Promo Pack" edition, as Solseek is suggesting

While none of them agree on the exact categorization that should be implemented, what they do agree on is that each planeswalker-stamped card can only be listed in ONE edition.

Of the three systems, I like the generic edition the best, followed second by placing it in a promo edition based on the set symbol on the card. I do not like TCGPlayer's method, nor Deckbox's current method.

For a card like this : https://deckbox.org/mtg/Avacyn%27s%20Me … romqs=true , which is listed as being in the Commander Decks for midnight hunt, which deck? Are there other decks coming out, or are these cards only able to be pulled in a pack?

In the list, cards #31 to #76 aren't in any of the decks, but they're in this list.

No, there aren't any further decks coming out with the MIC set code (Crimson Vow will also have two decks released with it, but presumably with a different set code).

Those cards aren't in any deck. Instead, as you guessed, they can only be pulled in packs. Specifically, non-draft packs, so either set or collector packs.

Cards #31 - #38 are 8 additional unique cards, while #39 - #76 are the extended-art versions of #1 - #38. The former can be pulled in set packs, while extended art can only be pulled in collector packs (this is true for all extended art cards in all editions, not just these MIC ones).

Hopefully this clarifies everything. Personally, I'm not a fan of some functionally unique cards only being available in set boosters and not in draft. I don't like that direction. But oh well, WotC does as WotC wants!

Double-sided Lost Mine of Phandelver // Goblin from the AFR Welcome Booster.

Got the commander deck CSVs added to the precon database:

Also got the 2021 Arena Starter Kit from last month added. Not a high-demand CSV, but to anyone who wanted it: sorry for the delay — it just wasn't on my radar!

Also, in the Extras for the Innistrad Midnight Hunt Commander decks, there are no single-sided tokens, so #1-#11 are not cards that exist. Can these be removed?

While I agree 100% with your premise, in the past there has been a lot of backlash from some members of the Deckbox community when the individual faces of double-sided-only tokens weren't listed on Deckbox. Due to that, I doubt we'll go back to not listing them, as much as I would also prefer that.  :\

This is from a while ago (2012), so it may not still be accurate, but this is what Sebi said about it back then. I'd recommend sending in a support ticket or email anyways, just to see how it would be handled now in 2021.

Hello there! There's any way to turn on dark mode?

In case of not, that would be amazing hmm

Unfortunately, there is not. This has been discussed before. Here's a recent thread, and a second.

If you're able and willing to use browser extensions, you can create your own custom dark mode. The first linked thread gives some idea how, with a screenshot of what mine looked like.

PS - how do I put a link in but show different words? Say, I wanted to list "Magic Game Day" and have it go directly to https://deckbox.org/editions/141-magic-game-day-cards. Thank you!

You have "url=https://example.com" inside the opening square brackets, rather than just "url". Then the text in between the opening/closing tags is your display text.

It's a container for ads. It sounds like you may have an ad blocker installed? Which would explain why you don't see the ad and instead just "see" the transparent bar.

Are you experienced using custom stylesheets and CSS? That's probably the simplest solution. That's what I used to use to remove the ads prior to being Premium. (And I still use it to have my own "dark mode" version of Deckbox!)

If that sounds appealing to you, but you have no idea how to go about it, then let me know what browser you're using, and I can provide step-by-step instructions to do it. It won't entail too much.

javydreamercsw wrote:

There are many cards in my collection that only have one printing available but it shows up semi-transparent. I have to go in and set it. Is there a way to avoid this easier?

I understand when they are multiple options, but when there is only one it should be set by default.

+1. I've always felt this way, too.

Unfortunately, there's not. If you have some easy way to filter your collection to just those cards whose editions you want to set, then I have a script that scrapes all the info from an inventory page and converts it into CSV format, which you can then use to import with editions set.

I'm sure the problem, though, is that there's also no easy way to identify and thus filter those cards.  :\

Does anyone know of a list of the possible cards in MH2 that can be etched?

I just searched "foil etched" and filtered to MH2 on TCGPlayer. Not an official list, but probably accurate.

EDIT: Counts check out (except that TCGPlayer has Seal of Removal (Foil Etched) miscategorized as common instead of uncommon). The second WotC article you linked to states:

10 basic lands
13 retro commons
30 uncommons (10 retro + 20 new-to-Modern)
49 rares (31 retro + 18 new-to-Modern)
11 mythics (7 retro + 4 new-to-Modern)
113 TOTAL

Answered in your other thread.

As a premium user, you can block another user, which eliminates them from most areas, including Shopping Assistant cart suggestions.

It has been argued (validly, in my opinion) that something as basic and necessary as user blocking should not be behind a pay wall. But as it currently stands, what you ask for IS possible in an upgraded account.

No, the collector numbers you list are for the individual token faces, which Sebi never added for C21. The faces are what have official collector numbers; the double-sided combinations do not have any official collector numbers. Thus, Deckbox just utilizes its own collector numbers for the physical double-sided tokens.

It's been debated multiple times in the past whether single-sided tokens for the commander decks should even be added to the database, considering those Golem tokens, for instance, do not exist physically as single-sided tokens. That is, it's impossible to add a "3/3 Golem with Trample" token to one's physical inventory, whereas you CAN add a "3/3 Golem with Trample // 1/1 Thopter with Flying" double-sided token. A virtual inventory should, in most people's minds, mirror a physical inventory.

But to appease both crowds, Sebi has previously added both the single-sided and double-sided versions. For some reason with C21, he never did so.

The AFR commander deck CSVs have been added!

@Sebi — All the details for the double-sided tokens for the commander decks can be found in WotC's token article. Note that some token faces are AFC-specific tokens, whereas some faces use tokens from the main AFR release.

First thread (over in Announcements) started with Strixhaven's Mystical Archives.

Second thread (starting primarily with this comment, though there's a few comments tossed back and forth before that one) continued the discussion with the advent of Modern Horizon 2's etched variants.

But yes, it still has yet to be added, regardless.  smile

Missing cards thread is under the Site Discussion forum.

And no, you're not weird. I track all my basic lands, and would also inventory the Introductory 2-Player Set! LoL

Or maybe that just means I'm weird, too.........

One thing to add: If this were implemented, we would also need a way to select the preview photo for those times when we upload more than one. Otherwise you might hover over and see a scan of the back of your card rather than the front! loL
