I would dig around to see if you can get one for $7 online (they're out there) as apparently they're going through the roof now that everyone has made a mess in their pants thinking about Vraska, the Unseen.  It's a shame too, because 95% of the Golgari decks being posted on TappedOut are a joke where someone just put 4x of each leaked card and nothing else.

For the build-pass-build deck... my sense is we were at 60 cards, so it SHOULD be good to go.  Sadly the input has tapered off but I'm all for trying to figure out whether it'd do any good.

As a side note, I'd think a few Parallel Lives could always help the deck.  Why not get 2x or 4x the ooze/wolf tokens?

*sigh*... we have another one in egrabnerdono

Thanks again guys.  I don't know why they just started doing this now as I'm sure it makes your jobs (that you already do for us for free) just that much more complicated.

Jace has found a new home and I am no longer in need of a [[Darksteel Forge]] or [[Chandra, the Firebrand]] however there are still a bunch of things available and that I'm interested in.

Thanks for the offers thus far!

I have too many wants to list at the moment... so here's my wishlist

http://deckbox.org/sets/129549

and my tradelist

http://deckbox.org/sets/129548

Please note a few things.  1) Almost everything on the wishlist is for casual play, so I'm not going to give you extra value because I'm in a rush.  2) Because these are for casual play, I'm not concerned with rotation status or format.  3) A LOT of what's on the wishlist are commons (aka penny cards) - I go by TGC minimum prices so these will only count for one or two cents each - and if you propose 100 penny cards for a $1 card, you're going to have to give up at least another 50 cents in value.  I could easily pick up the majority of these from TGC for their minimum values (or pretty close), but I'm sitting on a fair number of cards that I don't really want/need and would be willing to move, so why not save some cash?

If you do decide to go with another color, I'm going to differ from everyone here suggesting green and say that you could include black.  4x Tormented Soul and all those exalted triggers = game over.  Also you could throw in a few more spot removal spells, as exalted decks tend to be pretty limited in their ability to block anything with size.

Either way, I would say to add the pilgrims as per imsully's suggestion, as those will give you a more versatile use of lifelink.  If you decide to stay mono-white, you just need to be wary of the chump blockers, as flying only gets you so far.

A few quick thoughts.

Let me begin by saying this looks like a pretty good build.  It's certainly kept close to the theme well enough to be effective.  You have a good mix of flyers and some spot removal if you need it.

But I see two things that could be improved.

1) You're sitting with almost HALF of the deck as lands, and yet you have no additional means to draw or speed up your drawing.  Since your curve tops out at four (with the exception of one card) that translates into a LOT of dead land draws, turns where your opponent won't just be sitting around.  Sadly, white doesn't have a lot of help for you here, or at least nothing that's really coming to mind.  Even something as simple as Jayemdae Tome or Trading Post (if you prefer a little added flavor/flexibility) will help in this department, as you won't be short on lands by any means, but speeding up your draws will win the game.

2) For as powerful of a mechanic as exalted is, it has a TON of flaws.  Most notably being, the chump blocker.  Without trample, a single Fog Bank brings this deck to its knees for the most part and then you're simply trying to overrun the enemy, which, to be honest, isn't the goal here and could be done much more effectively with a different white build.  BUT, white does have something in spades that would work well with exalted that can influence the game in another direction - lifelink.  Then when you swing and your creature gets pumped to 20/20 and chump blocked, you at least gain 20 life, putting you further out of reach.  Options here are numerous - Ajani's Sunstriker and Seraph of Dawn both come immediately to mind.  That then guarantees you're getting SOMETHING out of your exalted attacks until you can land Akroma's Memorial.

I don't imagine any of those changes would cost more than a dollar or two in total... so that should help.

Looks reasonable enough, the question is, would someone else buy into it?  I don't have a ton of trades on here, but one was rather substantial (around $200) and I can say the guy was willing to give up like $30 in trade value (I had a dual and 2 FOWs in the trade for his lot of a TON of cards), but he wasn't willing to go much beyond that...

Best of luck with it!

Hey Sebi,

I don't know how frequently you check the forums (I'd like to think every day), but the user noehringarmi is a spammer.  He's made 20+ posts of links to various outdoors enthusiast merchandise in cyrillic.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

I know the Gate to Golgari dual land will be a good option too, as it's a common dual land.

But for ramping, Arbor Elf is about all we have outside of Farseek or Avacyn's Pilgrim which sadly doesn't even provide a color that helps...

I do know that if we're waiting for rotation, there are a LOT of other options... I mean Vraska the Unseen is going to be put in EVERY G/B deck in standard... Jarad too (since we're sacrificing stuff).  Corpsejack Menace would double the power up from undying too... and that's three cards from the third of the set that's been leaked.

I've gone ahead and dropped the BOPs, and Reassembling Skeletons to make it post-rotation.  I also dropped one Exquisite Blood so now we're sitting at 60 cards.

So I guess the question now is, thoughts on the deck?

I'm also loving the Golgari combos... Worldspine Wurm + Corpsejack Menace + Jarad + Death's Presence... yeah... you have a 15/15 trample... sack him to Jarad, they lose 15 life, you get 30! +1/+1 counters, and three 5/5 trample wurm tokens... that's just SICK

Predatory Rampage is going and Champion of Lambholt will be dropped to 3x to add 1x Craterhoof Behemoth - for those late game situations where other strategies have failed and you just need to overrun them.

I'm on board with droppping Exquisite Blood and Predatory Rampage if others are on board.  My only reservations are that they are both quite useful.

Exquisite lets you actually gain a boatload of life off Killing Wave, such that the opponent either has to pay to keep the creature and you gain, or they drop the creature and that's just dandy too.

Predatory Rampage is as close as we can get to Overrun in a post-rotation world that I'm aware of... which would be nice to make all those ooze tokens that much more dangerous.

Do we want to move to full post-rotation format?  If we're going that way, we could build in cards that will be pulled for RTR cards (i.e. Corpsejack Menace - which also rocks undying creatures and gives them two +1/+1 counters).

Done.

Fog = Gone and I've dropped one Forest and one Swamp.

Still sitting 11 high... This is going to cost some critters...

Note that I think we should keep at least 3x Champion of Lambholt as that's one clear win condition (pending we don't just overrun them with creatures).  They also work so well with the Gutter Grime.

Should we try to make it rotation safe?  That could buy us some space.  (But on a side note, I LOVE the thought of Reassembling Skeleton in here... I hope they give us another creature with the mechanic that it actually goes to the graveyard and can be brought back).

Reassembling Skeleton.  Done.  That puts us over 50 cards, so it's time to figure out the mana.

I'm proposing we should have the following:

4x Woodland Cemetery
2x Grim Backwoods
9x Swamp
9x Forest

That puts 24 lands, meaning we need to ween down some cards... but I'm open to reducing that number to 22 or even 20 if that's what it comes to.

Any other moves?

I'm adding 2x more Champion of Lambholt to the mix, as it will just be nuts with all those ooze tokens coming and going.

That will put us at 49 cards, so we need like 2-3 more and then we'll figure out the mana and try to narrow it down to work.

Corpsejack Menace will also be SICK.  Double the +1/+1 counters your creatures would receive?  Yes please.  Pair that with Increasing Savagery or even Bond Beetles or Timberland Guide with Roaring Primadox... yeah... Golgari might have a chance here.

Oh I'll agree, we're going to just see the same Delver whatnot with tiny tweaks in mainstream play.  But c'mon now, how many of my decks are mainstream wink.

It'll be interesting to see the rulings on his ultimate ability, because it doesn't say WHEN you can cast them or how it all works.  For instance, what if I pull a Strangleroot Geist out of the opponent's deck and Worldfire out of mine.  Since they're both sorcery speed, if I opt for Worldfire first and Strangleroot second, he would enter the game after the fire resolves and I can swing for the win, right?  Or do the spells resolve simultaneously since it's a product of his ability?

Someone just pointed out to me that Jace 4.0's ultimate pairs with Worldfire quite well, as you can cast it from your deck at no cost and then cast the card from their deck for an easy win.  If they have a damage spell, DONE.  If they have a creature with haste, DONE.  Hell, even a normal creature and they're done.
