I'd do my RTR tomb for your Initiative.

From the sticky post:

NO FOIL PRICING
At this time, Deckbox.org uses an API from TCGPlayer.com.  Because of this, we can only display information that is included in TCGPlayer.com's API, and foil pricing is not currently available.  Sebi and the team have been investigating other sources for pricing information.

This bugs me too, but not sure what they can do about it.

This is my Rafiq deck.  I do OK with it, but you're really putting a target on yourself when you play a general like this that can one-shot people.  I have never really felt like I wanted more exalted triggers off critters, it seems like there are a lot of things better than a single +1/+1 until end of turn.

I would definitely look into the double-color enchants from shadowmoor block, they're cheap and can be really useful when put on a multi-color creature like Rafiq.

You definitely want something fun stuff like Sovereigns of Lost Alara, Finest Hour, and Ardent Plea as well, they're all pretty cheap.

Only 2 things really jump out at me in the main deck as things i would pull. First is Ordruun Veteran, i know a 3/1 double striker is an odd choice to be my first card removed but any chump blocker can take him down, and i generally want creatures who won't lose to Memnite.

I don't do standard so not sure about the rest of your post.  Double strike does its first swing in the first strike phase of damage, so it would kill memnite and most chump blockers before they get a chance to deal damage.

It will be released in paper, but they have said it's "limited release" with no definition on how many cards that means.  Expect price gouging and some places to only offer in draft, no packs for sale.

That's because technically, Dragon's Maze doesn't have plains in the set. That promo is the only one and since gather doesn't list it, they can't import it.

Yeah, I just listed mine as foil promo, since the other special lands (EURO/APAC/Guru) aren't foil.  It does have a collector's number of 1/1.

That's odd to have someone with 0 feedback insist on the other person sending first...  I guess the only real way would be to have a mutually-agreeable third party do the actual trade.  You both send to that person, and when the cards have shown up that person actually mails to the principals.

RTR and GTC were updated here before the pre-release weekend, I'm guessing Sebi's busy or something this time.

I'm not sure how ark42 gets their price data but they only show SCG.

Deckbox gets a referral when people click the price and order from TCG.  Not sure if Star City has a referral program, but I doubt it.  That would be one reason not to show other stores...

Yay!  Hope these get imported soon!

Thanks for sending me this link our trade.  As we discussed, having the option to search for people who have the Foil (or textless, or promo, or ...) flag set in wishlist/tradelist would save a whole lot of time as well.

I built a Rhys deck that was fun, Krenko can be fun too.  Both are listed in my decks if you want to take a look and see if they give you any ideas.

Basically, if you don't have the possibility of making near infinite tokens each turn, you're doing it wrong smile

I could give you a regular plus a cavern of souls, or whatever else you see on my tradelist.  I don't have anything on your separate want list, unfortunately.

Looking to sell or trade a Foil Cavern of Souls and Non Foil Sphinx's Revalation

Let me know if interested.

I'm interested in the Cavern, have a regular one plus value if you want.

Looks nice, wish I had anything worth trading for it..

That's the Invasion pre-release promo of Raging Kavu http://store.tcgplayer.com/magic/prerel … aging-kavu

You do have some foils I want, but why wouldn't I just click the link on here?  I'd get them for much less and deckbox would get a referral bonus...

I'd be interested in one, if you see anything.

I have an active trade with him as well.

I received his cards (took a few weeks in the mail, but I am in Canada so it happens sometimes).

I sent his cards immediately after receiving (as we had agreed) on March 12th. Tracking number shows they were delivered so I bet he has them, just waiting for him to confirm receipt.

Same deal here.  http://deckbox.org/trades/70282?s=15615

I dug out some revised edition magic cards last week and I'm learning plus preparing to play soon. I have no dual or triple lands, all basic single lands.

I read the rules of vintage and it says i can play any magic card set cards with vintage. This means i can use the newer triple lands and the various dual lands right?

If so,

Are there dual lands or triple lands that are better than the others in general functionality or abilities (like multiple options being better on one versus another type)? Which cards would you guys recommend. For example a regular dual land, a regular triple land, one of the triple lands with several options? I know the colors are sort of up to me to decide on what i need/want.

Also, can you only have 4 of each card name in the case of duals and triples?

Looking at "Akoum Refuge" vs "koskun keep" for example..

It seems to make sense to rather have triples than duals logically, am i missing some catches with rules i should watch out for?

Yes, with Vintage you can play any card in the history of Magic, as long as it isn't on the ban list.

Correct, you can only have 4 of each name in your deck.  Basic lands are the only cards in any format that aren't subject to a maximum.

As far as better or worse goes, I agree that the ABUR duals are the best (plateau, bayou, volcanic island, badlands, savannah, underground sea, taiga, tropical island, scrubland, tundra).  They have not been re-printed because they are 99% of the time better than any basic land.

Second place I think are the shock lands that were reprinted in gatecrash and return to ravnica, the ones like Steam Vents and Overgrown Tomb, etc.  The main benefit to these is that you can use a fetchland like Arid Mesa to search for them.

The third kind that I personally use are the M10/Innistrad duals ("Checklands") like Sunpetal Grove.  You can't search for them, but you'll usually have one of the land types already in play so they come down untapped.

The last kind that I usually put in a multicolor deck are the painlands, like brushland.  You can always get a colorless mana off them if you just need something to help cast a spell, but you have the option to get a colored mana if you really need it.

As far as triple lands go, you really only have the Shards of Alara ones like Jungle Shrine and the Lairs from Planar Chaos like Rith's Grove.  I prefer the lairs because you can tap a land for mana, play your lair, bounce the tapped land, and tap the lair for a second mana.  It doesn't set you back as badly as the SOA ones that are shut down for a turn.

If you are starting out, I recommend getting some of the Panorama lands as well.  You can use them for colorless, or grab a land that gives a color you need.

I personally have a soft-sided briefcase that I carry mine in:

trade binder (3")
fat pack box with 3 EDH decks
fat pack box full of dice
fat pack box with planechase set
white card box full of token cards

I try to always have a pen and pad of paper in there as well to figure out trades etc.

http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?p=7425222 has some other links to stuff as well.

He sent first to me, all was fine.  USPS says mine got to him a week or two ago but he hasn't marked received yet.

http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=8230 is another thread earlier this morning about this guy.

I have done a few of those and certainly have a pile of stuff you are looking for.  Pretty much all I'm looking for nowadays are foils though hmm  If you have a bunch of bulk-type foils, let's put something together.

Hi
Another thing is that the price of the cards still the same even if it's a foil or if the condition is different then near mint..

This one comes up in almost every suggestion post.  In the past TCG did not give separate values for foil and nonfoil, not sure if they have changed that or not.
