Xenagos, the Reveler is probably the most promising, with the new Elspeth being second. There is going to be a LOT of gruul like decks out there looking to use him as a big ass bomb, and probably even some jund seeing a different playstyle, landing in midrange.
Boros humans is also looking extremely strong, using the heroism mechanic and some decent cantrips.

Re: Minors (Under 18) trading and selling. Where do you stand? (19 replies, posted in Reddit MTG Trades)
I agree with you, but with one caveat. One shouldn't barr minors from trading on deckbox, and one way to amend that issue could be a clause requiring express consent from their parents or legal guardians to create an account.
I realize that this may be a slightly futile effort, since there is no real way to guarantee that this is done, but it would mean that the minor would be subject to repercussions if anything is forged, if not them, then their parents/legal guardians.

That's too bad, that makes it much more difficult. I know some people are apprehensive about buying/trading with people in Canada because of the time it can take cards to reach there. I've had no problems, but it's something you should let people know when you post. GL
Ironically, the only postal issues that I have encountered have been in sending to Toronto, Ontario. Not a single of my trades in to USA have had an issue. I find it kind of funny.

Re: Selling a few cards & Looking for a few EDH pieces! (31 replies, posted in Reddit MTG Trades)
A couple suggestions -
1. You should always provide tracking on everything you sell. This is for both the buyer and seller's protection. Delivery confirmation is free when purchasing postage online. You can purchase <3oz postage from Paypal with delivery confirmation for USD 1.70.
2. Ignore TCGPlayer mid when pricing. Go to ebay, look at the cheapest BIN price for the same card, and match or undercut it. This is the first thing anyone who buys cards regularly does when they see people selling cards online.
3. Pictures help when selling cards. It's usually unnecessary when selling things under a certain dollar value, but "NM" and "NM-" do not mean the same thing to everyone.
Since the majority of people that I deal with are in the states, and I live in Canada, I would be paying more than what I'm asking to provide for tracking. Even tracking within Canada costs a fair bit, with the cheapest being $10 within Canada. If I'm not mistaken, to provide tracking going into USA costs $15+, and I just can not afford to do that.
In terms of pricing, this is my first go, and I've had a few conflicting opinions on pricing, so I decided to try it on a middle ground between tcg mid and low. Adjustments can always be made, and I am open to offers outside of the posted price.
Concerning grading, I go by the SCG grading guide. Most of the cards I have listed are out of pack and in to sleeve quality, and some have extremely minor play to them, if any at all. I judged them according to SCG's quality guide and I don't know of any other quality guide that I could follow.
Edit: Unfortunately, I don't have access to a scanner, so all I can do is be extremely critical of any imperfections on the cards.
Thank you for your constructive suggestions, I will definitely keep them in mind.

Topic: Selling a few cards & Looking for a few EDH pieces! (31 replies, posted in Reddit MTG Trades)
This is my first go at selling a few cards, so I'd like to try and keep it to the list below.
I understand that some may disagree with my pricing, and that is fine.
If you disagree with my pricing, please do not feel the need to post saying so.
I respect your opinion on pricing, as I trust that you would respect mine. Thank you!
All cards are NM/NM- unless specifically noted otherwise.
All prices are approximately halfway between TCG mid and TCG low, rounded to the nearest dollar.
Payment will be accepted through paypal under goods and services.
I live in Canada and mainly conduct trades going in to USA with zero postal issues over the time that I have been trading on deckbox.
I will ship to Canada and USA.
Any sales will be provided with free shipping, but I am unable to offer tracking for free.
If you wish to have tracking on the sale, I request that you be willing to pay for it. If you do, I will provide insurance.
Prices are not final, and open to some negotiation. If you wish to negotiate, open a trade and give me an offer. I like working things out!
Alternatively, I am open to trading these for some of my prime EDH/Theros Standard wants.
The cards that I have for sale are as follow:
Morningtide Mutavault x4 $19 each, or $65 for the playset.
Shards of Alara Elspeth, Knight-Errant x1 $22
I am also looking for a few things for my EDH deck. I am in need of:
Birds of Paradise x1 (M11 buy a box foil)
Bladewing the Risen x1 (FTV Dragons)
Artifact Mutation x1 (Invasion)
Demonic Tutor x1 (Divine vs Demonic Duel Deck or Unlimited, DD version preferred)
Ambition's Cost x1 (8th edition, foil preferred)
Void x1 (Invasion)
Scroll Rack x1 (Tempest or Commander's Arsenel)
Sylvan Library x1 (Legends or Commander's Arsenel)
Sarkhan Vol x1 (Shards of Alara)
Dormant Volcano x1 (Visions)
Command Tower x1 (Commander's Arsenel)
Fire-Lit Thicket x1 (Shadowmoor)
Maze of Ith x1 (The Dark or FTV: Realms, either is awesome)
Twilight Mire x1 (Eventide)
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth x1 (Rise of the Eldrazi)
Dragonmaster Outcast x1 (Worldwake)
Other deck needs:
Jace, Architect of Thought x2 (Return to Ravnica)
Chandra, Pyromaster x3 (Magic 2014)
Deathrite Shaman x4 (Return to Ravnica)
As always, thank you for taking the time to check out my thread, and feel free to open a trade with me to discuss a possible trade or sale!
Have a great day folks, and happy trading!

Ah, that's not too bad for sale security, then. I wouldn't feel obligated to race to the bottom though. One can't really make decent money when they do that.
This is some good advice. Thanks!

Re: Tips for selling cards on deckbox? (8 replies, posted in Reddit MTG Trades)
I usually price somewhere between TCGPlayer mid and low, with free (non-tracked) shipping in North America. That's enough to be competitive enough with other online sources without feeling bad about selling them. Remember, if you're going to charge SCG rates, there's no reason for your potential customers to buy your cards instead of just going to SCG.
Also, personally, I don't accept gift payments. Yes, it means the seller pays the fees, but if anything goes wrong and someone paid via gift, they have no recourse.
I don't touch SCG prices unless I can't find it on TCG. SCG always overcharges.
Do you know what amount the fees generally are?

morph66, we have warned you in the BTR you were involved in, we warned you via email, and AsymptomaticPhyrexia warned you again in this thread.
I would say that is enough warnings already.
You are banned from the forum and suspended from trading on deckbox for a month because of your aggressive attitude, cursing and name calling people.
Thank you. It takes a lot for me to call someone out on something, and this guy went way over the line for me.

so an entire boring spiel just so you could correct me on a typo, oh god no!!!
You need to stop.
I'm not even going to water this down. Just stop. Stop being an asshole to people. Stop trying to backtrack and make someone who disagrees with you look bad. Stop trying to act like you're better than everyone else. You're not. We're all equal here.
You started up on this site recently. You need to suck it up and learn how to conduct yourself with a bit of professional decorum, or get off this site. This is a nice community with people who look out for each other.
We do not need your poison.

Re: Trading: FTV 20 (18 replies, posted in Reddit MTG Trades)
I'm not being aggressive so i'm not sure what to tell you. Many members here have been echoing that the ebay price is 150$, so please don't try to pin it on me. There is also numerous threads in this section alone that are epople selling ftv for 150$. I'm sorry that you are taking it this way, but it's just you man, cause i'm not doing the things you are accusing me of. Sorry.
If you think i'm being rude and extremely aggressive, then feel free to call me out on it where it is happening. I don't appreciate being accused of doing this stuff in a thread it isn't relevant for you to just push an agenda here. Thanks.

Telling people that we're not their personal store, that people will be laughing at them, and any comments like that is very aggressive and verges on straight out bullying.
If you're not interested in pursuing a purchase from someone, why comment at all? Ignore the thread and move on, don't point out what you believe to be their error. Everyone has their own way to do business, and that should be respected.
Edit: I'm not pushing any agenda here. I'm giving references to possible reasoning behind a pricing, that's all.
As for calling you out on where aggression is happening, insinuating that I have an agenda when all I did was give reference to prices is aggressive. Telling people that "we're not your personal store" is aggressive.

Re: Trading: FTV 20 (18 replies, posted in Reddit MTG Trades)
Ok, so you know your price is outrageous, yet you are keeping it there hoping you will get just a little less. Nobody on here is going to remotely offer you what you are looking for. FTV twenty is not worth 250$, whether it be cards, or money.
I'm sorry to butt in here/hijack the thread or anything, but...
I've been seeing your posts in a lot of threads, and you are extremely aggressive and, at some points down right insulting.
The contents of FTV:20 easily add up to almost 300 dollars on release, so him asking 250 in trade is not a stretch. If you doubt me, go to http://store.tcgplayer.com/magic/from-the-vault-twenty and add up each card value. It will add up to 255.84 (as of this post). That is using TCG mid and you could argue using the high value if the FTV is sealed (which shoots the value up to easily over 300), and that does not include the 20 sided die.
I understand that you have your own opinions, but I highly suggest that you ease off on the aggression in your posts, otherwise you may lose trading opportunities.

I'm with Scurvy on this one... Just leave the man be unless you're interested in the packs.
Given the age of the packs, it's nigh impossible for them to be mapped, since box mapping is a recent thing. I don't know about you guys, but tablets and iphones and apps weren't even out yet when I was playing with Onslaught, you know... back when it was released in 2002.
Leave the guy alone unless you want the packs, and stop spreading paranoia.

- Proposing a trade without saying anything in the chat box will get you as far as a turtle in peanut butter.
THIS. THIS. A THOUSAND FRIGGIN TIMES THIS.
I've started purposefully ignoring trades, simply because people don't say anything in them. I get the notifications, I even have a tab constantly open in my browser to check for new proposals... but I refuse to work with anyone who doesn't say anything, or won't say anything, even after my attempts to communicate. It feels like they're not really interested in the trade at all, and it feels disrespectful most of all.
