I think it is a stellar idea.  If it doesn't get built here, I will build it.  I think I can have something in development this month.

So I have about 1200 cards entered into the database.  I use the database to build decks of my own and I also look at the decks that others have built and I try to build them myself.

If the computer could look at all the cards I own and show me a list of decks (that others have made) which I already have the cards for I would be able to build decks from other users in a snap.  Basically the computer would compare the deck builds to the data base of cards.

Even fancier would be something that lists off the amount of cards I am missing to be able to make a particular deck.  I could just click on a deck build that I am interested in and it would give me a quick list of cards I am missing to be able to make that deck.

Just some thoughts.

It would be cool if you could just enter say "Blades of Victory" as a package and then it would add all the cards from that set into your inventory automatically.  It would save me lots of time after Christmas where everybody gets me those packs.

I decided that the tournament software on one of my sites works well.  If you would register with the site at http://magichovel.com/old/ you will be able to set up and run your own events and it will make it easier to see who plays because we can get rid of the numbers.

Will probably be played in Mr. Taylors room due to the increasing number of participants.  That is all.

You can now sign up by accepting the game invite.  In the future this will be how I work the events.

Ya, that is a good suggestion.

Probably nothing that fancy seeing how I am putting up the prize.  Maybe it will be something bigger at the end of the year.

No, you can only play one deck.  However you do get a 15 card sideboard.  That is 15 cards that you can use to modify your deck in between matches.  For instance you might add some extra land or a couple creatures to your deck after your first round.

Got ya.

This might have already been mentioned, but it would be cool if you could mark all cards past 4 available for trade.

Please make a post here if you plan on participating in the 12/17 tournament.

We will be playing Legacy rules which are as follows:

Constructed decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards. There is no maximum deck size; however, you must be able to shuffle your deck with no assistance. If a player wishes to use a sideboard, it must contain exactly fifteen cards.

With the exception of basic land cards, a player’s combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than four of any individual card, counted by its English card title equivalent. All cards named Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest are basic. (The five Ice Age block snow-covered lands -- Snow-Covered Plains, Snow-Covered Island, Snow-Covered Swamp, Snow-Covered Mountain, and Snow-Covered Forest -- are also basic lands. Note that snow-covered lands are permitted only in formats that allow expansions from the Ice Age block to be used.)

Legacy decks may consist of cards from all Magic card sets, any edition of the core set, and all special sets, supplements, and promotional printings released by Wizards of the Coast.

The following cards are banned in Legacy tournaments:

Amulet of Quoz

I also forgot to mention that I think it would be cool to be able to post multiple inventories.  For instance I have real cards and also a good collection of online cards.  I would like to be able to keep track of both.

Just a thought.

I did get all signed up for that just now.  Thanks for the link.

I had set up a site that created brackets a while back.  I think with what you have built here a bracket system that keeps track of winners and event placements would be a welcome addition.  Here is an example of what I am talking about:

I am definitely a fan of Ajani's Pridemate.  I keep trying to get a couple of them in a booster, but so far I have not drawn one.  Some other dudes I know got 3 of them the other day hmm.  Of course they won't trade for them...

I am just trying to hook up with other casual players on MTGO.  I play paper magic as well, but MTGO is usually more accessible.

First of all I love the site.  It is really top notch.

I was wondering if the fine peeps that created the site might be able to incorporate a bracket/league system for tracking tournament and event play.  My idea is that you create an event or league and then enter the players.  Then you can enter results and the software would keep track of the standings and such.

Just a thought.
