Thank you for explaining how to add the #proxy tag! Sebi, thank you again for implementing this functionality as it provides the first half of what I was hoping for. Since I personally use proxies mostly because I prefer the art to that of the original card, it would be awesome to be able to actually add proxies to inventory. While I certainly don't expect you to add another version of every card in the database to allow for a proxy "set", it would be handy to be able to deselect a set entirely for a card in inventory/decks, and flag it "proxy" with the foil/signed/artist proof/etc dropdown to achieve the same functionality of setting the price to zero in inventory.

If that were implemented, those cards could simply be added to a deck directly as proxies, and pictures of their art could be uploaded to allow the mouse-over functionality when browsing the deck here on Deckbox.

Thank you again, Sebi, for entertaining my wishes for site improvements, and for all that you do!

Thank you for introducing Proxy support! Though I am confused about how to implement it. How can I place notes on cards in inventory/decks using text? I assumed it would be an icon in the dropdown like Foil, Misprint, Artist Proof, Promo, etc.

Also somewhat related, prior to this change we could select a custom card in a deck and provide no information on set, condition, language, etc. Now when no information is provided it defaults to a specific set. Could this functionality be returned to previous allowing no information to be provided (other than possibly that the card is a proxy, thus not part of any actual set)?

We appreciate all the hard work you consistently deliver to improve the site! It gets better all the time, even without new hardware. How could someone *not* do premium?? tongue

Amazing, Sebi! This feature might convince me it is worth my time to trade on deckbox again, allowing me to confidently mark all cards for trade that are not in built decks without worrying about conditions and sets (once I get all my decks entered in). Thank you for all the wonderful things you do to keep improving the site!

Just thought I'd weigh in. First of all, Sebi, this is of course an amazing site and you're a marvelous administrator. Keep up the great work, as I sincerely appreciate all the features you continue to add making this site better.

All in all, I'm in favor of checkbox style warnings rather than any kind of hard limits on anyone, ever. If anything, I think this kind of feature is less important than finding a way to leave less than positive [see: honest] feedback for someone without risking retaliatory feedback in return. The reason why some people have been scammed by high-rep users is because once you understand the system, anyone can easily manipulate it to avoid ever getting negative feedback by putting the threat of retaliatory feedback upon their trading partners.

This encourages (or at least allows) poor trading experiences. I have never had a trade not arrive (other than one I sent that got lost in the mail about a year ago) but I have had multiple bad experiences with cards not arriving in the condition described. Of course, I can't realistically hold my trading partners accountable for this without attempting to reverse the entire trade, and even then I risk negative feedback for doing so. Instead, because I value the positive reputation I have built, I just suck it up and accept the fact I was scammed by someone giving me terrible condition cards.

Do you have any implementable ideas for features that would allow people to actually leave honest feedback for other users to help mitigate situations like this and in turn hold the community to a higher standard?

Hey Sebi,

Lots of feedback for you, good and bad: First, bitcoin=win, so thanks for that. Glad you're getting onboard with the currency of the future. Kudos!

As for the variant tags, maybe its just me but I really don't like them: they're distracting, ugly, and don't provide me with any useful information. But since I'm the minority, could we get an option to turn them off? Or maybe just a blank tag option for each deck, that is the default choice for non-premium users?

On another subject, while I am a premium user and not a commander player, I do agree with what Ber said: The commander selection feature should be an option for non-premium users as it is fundamental to that type of deck. I enjoy the benefits of paying for premium status but as a newbie to the site would have been turned off if such an essential feature was restricted to premium only.

Thanks for all that you do to continue making deckbox an even better site!

We do collect sealed products, and would love the opportunity to add those to our inventory/tradelist here on Deckbox! +1 to such a feature request.

Edit: To Wonderdog79's point, there are numerous retailers that keep stock of out of print packs. Best example of this is www.abugames.com, which has packs of just about every set ever released available for purchase.

The MM foils without pricing issue does not appear to be fixed. Most of my MM2015 foils have no pricing (All Suns' Dawn, Artisan of Kozilek, Orzhov Basilica, Spellskite, Spitebellows, Surrakar Spellblade, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre).

So it's been two weeks and my side of the trade went missing. I sent out my cards the same way I have several times in the past, with a couple of stamps on a small bubble mailer inside my local post office. Another letter I mailed from the same location a couple days later (going to the same state) arrived within normal transit time a couple weeks ago now.

My trading partner has not sent his side of the trade due to his policy of not sending trades simultaneously to users with less than 20 positive feedback.

I understand that the cards I sent out are considered my responsibility since I didn't send with tracking and have no way to prove they were actually received, but I'm unsure of where to go from here. We still have the trade active of course (( http://deckbox.org/trades/203793?s=34654 )) but it sounds like it cannot be expected for the cards to find their way through the mail and actually arrive, assuming they didn't arrive and were not merely misplaced by the recipient or another at that address.

I was hoping a Moderator could shed some light on this situation and give me and my trading partner some insight on where to go from here. Obviously we'd both like to avoid non-positive feedback, but are unsure of how to handle this situation.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dustin
