Fun Idea! I actually had a different take along the same theme: steal the opponents cards and turn them against him, while at the same time swarm him with Goblins.  when it works, its pretty powerful, but when it doesn't.. well that's another story..  I think the Goblins give it a little more speed, but I have quite a ways to go to make it shine.. take a look if you would like smile

hmm.. according to the website at https://www.usps.com/ship/insurance-extra-services.htm
Tracking is not available for standard mail, but is for first class or media mail. This may be the reason I've never had a problem.. when I've added tracking, I've sent first class (standard mail is supposed to be bendable, so I use bubble mailers and first class hoping nothing gets bent.)
Hope this helps smile

Yes, I was trying to do too many things with this deck, and quite frankly ruined it:(
It was a fairly strong mid-range deck that went 3-1 at FNM before I decided to add brutal hordchief.. After doing poorly at the first game day, I did a radical change up.  I'm going to try to revert the deck to what I had, LOL.. I"m now thinking a should have kept a list......
There are a lot of Abzan decks at my shop and I think I was trying to put out answers for them however ineffective.
So, I guess my plan now is fix my messed up midrange deck.. and then build an Abzan deck that's competitive smile
Thank you for the input.

Yeah, those caves pinged me quite a bit last night! LOL!  It wasn't such a good idea mixed with mana confluence!
I think you are right about adding the speedy little guys, especially to compete with those warriors. I can always sideboard in my Sorins if the other player is using a more midrange deck.
I found Mardu shadowspear... I think it would fit quite nicely with the Hordchief since it requires loss of life as well when it attacks. Thank you so much for the input!  I have my fingers crossed for today!!

I"m not sure if the graveyard trigger would work with your commander.  Here is the rule:

If a Commander would be put into a graveyard or exile from anywhere, its owner may choose to move it to the command zone instead. Details

This is a replacement effect; the creature never goes to the graveyard and will not trigger such abilities.  bold type mine for emphasis.
Commanders will move to the library or hand as normal; only transitions to Exile or the Graveyard may be replaced.

But the rule does say "may" so my thinking is that if you are able to put the commander in the graveyard, you would have to have another card to get it out? I see body double that could at least be a copy of it, but the commander is still stuck in graveyard.. the only card for getting it out would be false demise and it would need to be attached to commander before you let it go to graveyard.
I could be completely wrong in this, and if I am, I will have learned something new, and will be interested to see what others think about this big_smile

So this is a deck that I have modified.  It's original had brimaz, stormbreath dragon and a few other goodies that threw off enough players that it was going 3-1 in FNM.. Today at gameday, not so much:/

So I've tweaked it a bit to see if I can do a bit better tomorrow.  I kept my one main winning condition which involves Goblin Rabblemastersacking goblin tokens to butcher of the horde. This seems to be very effective but needs something if I can't get the combo out. So I've added  Brutal Hordechief as a plan b so to speak... use whatever tokens or creatures I can get on the battlefield, attack, and have additional damage due to hordchiefs proc..

Here is the deck: http://deckbox.org/sets/734027

I'd really appreciate any feedback.. seriously I was in 15th place tonight!!  I haven't done that badly in a long time!

Most were playing really quick warrior decks as well as green/black enchantments.  If you suggest something to add, please also suggest something to take out if possible ----  I have a hard time figuring out what is not necessarily needed.
Thanks in advance if you take a look!

At the most rudimentary level, you need to have dual lands if you  are going to play 3 colors.  Playing just basics is just asking to get mana screwed during game play IMHO.
Even having the uncommon dual lands is better than nothing, plus you do have the benefit of a little life gain. Obviously, having lands likellanowar wastes and caves of koilos from m15 would be beneficial because it does not enter the battlefield tapped.  since it looks like you need to speed on your side, these might be the best bet even though they do some damage to you.  I like temples for scry ability, but I don't think they would work for what you are trying to do in your deck.
Looks like a bit of a sliver flavor you are going for with the outlast.. should be a fun deck to try smile

HI!
I would suggest first of all to try to build playsets in your deck. ( 4 of many of your cards.)  Also, you need to decide what, specifically, you want your deck to do.  It looks like you might have cards for building counters on cards, so maybe start from there?  Thinking of only the cards you have,  increasing your living totems and crowned ceretok to 4 each.  Take out tireless missionaries - it's too expensive and the life gain wont help you win the game.
I would also take out most cards that cost 6 or more without any kind of mana ramp.. With a deck with mostly commons and uncommons, you need to try to get more bang for your buck when it comes to mana cost versus what the card can do.
Sedge scorpian is a fun one to keep -- a 1/1 deathtouch can be quite irritating to a much stronger card.. sure you lose the card when you defend, but your opponent loses his card to the graveyard as well. So far maybe try this?
4 sedge scorpion
4 sunblade elf
4 sungrace pegasus
4 crowned ceretok
4living totem
2 hornet queen
2 bow of nylea  ( there are those that would disagree with this.. but this card has helped me win a few!)

Add removal such as:
banishing light or pillar of light , and maybe druid's deliverance?

Or course, I don't know what is in your inventory, so I made these suggestions based on what I thought you might likely have.  Good luck, and I hope some of this helps at least a little!

Actually, m14 is standard legal until Khans comes out around the end of September.  However, if this is something you don't want to tweak again in just a little over a month, then you might start thinking now what cards you would want instead.
I plan on keeping my M14 cards in until the new rotation and get every bit of use out of them I can smile
Maybe add Bile blight?  (There have been a few 1/1 death touch swarming in the games at my cardshop!)
Good luck!

For vampires:  I might add stromkirk noble to my sideboard if I had an opponent running any humans. He's a fun one for some early damage, plus  with the possibility of adding counters, makes him a good value for a one drop.

I see,  and no offense taken smile
I'll give her another shot the next time I play.
Thanks!

went 2 and 1 and 1 draw.
I need to fix white mana.  I didn't have the white needed for a boros charm - which would have made a win on the game that was a draw. Chandra wasn't very effective - at least in the game I played her.. She seems to be more of a sideboard card for those that decide to play 1/1 weenies or tokens. I may rethink magma jet.. its a good card, but not very effective with all the temples that I am running. There were several times where scry 2 really wasn't looking at two cards since I had already scried with a temple land. So I might take those out in favor of another couple boros charms or banishing lights.
Strangely enough, I think the hornet's nest helped with holding off my opponent while I continue to build mana for my four drops and combos: so, after the fact, I've put them back in.
Once the deck gets going, holy cow can it ever dominate the game board!!  It's just building up to that point that needs the tweaking smile
Luckily there wasn't a huge turn out, so, even with that status, I was able to get top 8 smile

These are some great ideas!!  thank you!!
I definitely need that Boros Charm!   I went up against a black/white/blue control deck and was very weak against some of his board wipes. went 2 and 2 last night - should have been 3 and 1, but I missed a trigger from a side-boarded Polis crusher when it went monstrous.  ( Aggravation!)
Yeah, I liked Elspeth mainly for her soldiers to help with blocking.  But I see where there are better options smile
I'll put in a Ghor clan rampager instead, in addition to finding at least another spot for a 2nd one if not more.
Once again, thank you very much for taking your valuable time to look over everything!
Updated deck: https://deckbox.org/sets/520455

I've been really working at trying to get a good deck to play at my local FNM and also on game day.
https://deckbox.org/sets/520455
I am using cards that I have currently in my inventory.  My winning condition is to get The Xenagos God out and use it to double the attack of one of my big creatures.  I've placed a few cards in my sideboard to address blue control, ( I have a feeling I'll see a lot of that since there are quite a few net decks in play at my local shop!)
I would appreciate any ideas you may have to finish out my sideboard, as well as any feedback that might help me fine tune this deck in order to be appropriately competitive!  Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have!

Hello to a fellow newbie smile
I'm probably not the best at deck building, however, I did notice that you do not have anything in the way of removal.
I am guessing that you may be working only with what you have so far, so I would include the two divine verdicts that you have.  Even though they are rotating out soon, Selesnya charm and druids deliverance would be great additions for the time being.  Also, if you have any other powerful creatures beyond 1/1 soldiers, Green is a great color to ramp up your mana to bring out the big guys!  Since you have Nissa to help with that, I would also look into some Sylvan Caryatids : they offer both mana ramp and a bit of defense with a toughness of 3.  Or course that may only help early in the game, but it may afford you at least a little time to build up your creatures.  If you are going to stick with soldiers, I have a deck that I am experimenting with here: http://deckbox.org/sets/734027  It builds around Brimaz and uses tokens in an attempt to overwhelm the other player.
It still has a long way to go to be competitive, but, I am working with what I have - maybe it can offer you an idea or two.
Hope this helps at least a little !

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in taking a look at my EDH deck. I ran with the life gain mechanic along with, I think, some good removal and one combo that almost seems quite unfair smile  It wins quite a bit in casual play, but when talking about it to another player, he commented that my deck would lose rather quickly since he runs Erebos as a Commander.  Anything I could do to tweak my cards to handle Erebos?  Also, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! this is my first EDH deck that I have actually put a lot of effort into and, up until now, was pretty proud of how it turned out !  Thank you in advance for any help/advice!
