Hey, thanks for the feedback. Extra controls in decks we're not 100% sure we want, but pricing filters we will definitely do!

I can definitely live without filters in decks if it means the pricing and inventory count filters! smile

I love this site and use it all the time. It is great how the site gets improvements all the time. Awesome work so far!

Searching through cards and finding exactly what I want is a little troublesome. Maybe these additions can be added to the bottom of the to-do list:

Add Filters for Price and Inventory Count

I often am looking through someone's tradelist but only want to trade with them if they have 4+ copies of the cards I want. Or, I want to look through all their cards below a certain price (monetary value, not cost) so I only look through the cards I can afford (or of similar value to what I am trading). If the tradelist/inventory/wishlist had a way to filter by inventory count and price, it would greatly help with trading and usability, and just make trading a lot more fun.

Filters in Decks

The search filters should also be included when viewing decks. Some decks (or draft cubes!) can get pretty big, 100+ cards (400+ for cubes), so this would help going through those decks a little easier.

Phase 3: Track currently Built/Unbuilt decks, in inventory calculate running total (number that are "Available for Use")

I think the majority of deckbuilders would find 1st to be convenient, a smaller but still large subset would intuitively use the 2nd, and the smallest subset might take full advantage of the 3rd. That being the case, it makes sense to incrementally add the three features. Granted, the 3rd sorta supersedes 2nd, in that you probably would not carry both Total Used and Number Available fields, since it's simple math to determine one from the other...

The only problem with this mentality is that the Deckbuilder tool is used to create decks with cards you do not have yet (planned decks). Also, most people do not construct a deck and keep it that way forever. They may 'steal' some of the rares from one deck to put into another they are playing with that weekend. They should not need to delete the other deck in the Deckbuilder tool so that their card list is accurate. Without the currently built/unbuilt deck feature, the Deckbuilder is not nearly as useful since all the card information will be inaccurate.

My 2 cents. smile

Yeah, more important things to work on in my opinion too. Just change from 1 to 999 or something.

Agreed. Something like this is really needed.

I think this is the best solution:

In deck management: Option: Is deck currently constructed? yes/no

In inventory management: auto-calculated, per card: Number available (i.e., total minus number in constructed decks)

In inventory management maybe also a scroll-over or something which lists which decks the card is currently in and how many are in which decks.

Nice work sebi. That export feature was really needed. Thanks for taking the time!

I've temporarily removed the send email feature of the forum. People can still use the website's send email feature (there is an "Email" link in the left menu when you visit a user's profile, like mine). I will need to implement some kind of protection for that, sending threshold, ip logging, captchas etc etc.

I so hate the spam industry. I was hoping that a small tcg website wouldn't have to deal with this garbage, but it seems no one escapes. smile

Not too big of a deal. I just got one message is all. Just wanted to make you aware smile

Thanks for really going after those spammers!

Seconding this as well.

I would like this feature as well.

It is very useful when using pre-constructed decks or after you purchase your entire deck at once.

It is not super difficult to modify the number but it does take time since you need to modify the number owned for every card and need to add the number from the deck to the number you already own. This feature would definitely improve the site.

I assure you it is not "trivial", and most definitely is not 5, or 50 minutes as some of you keep telling everybody it is.

But I understand your frustrations, and I'm sorry for delaying this so much. There will be a csv export available this week.

Wow, now that is some serious service right there! For a free product nonetheless!

Will we be able to split up cards with the same name after this feature is implemented?

For example, I have 20 Swamps in my inventory. 12 of those are in a deck. The remaining 8 are available for use.

Could I use these tags to organize my collection to show me which cards are available for use or which are currently in decks? Or, can I only add a tag to all cards named Swamp?

I saw this idea in another thread:

If there is an option when editing decks to say the deck is either "planned deck" or "actualized deck" (or different terms). The website can have an uneditable field in the inventory section for "Available Cards". This field can automatically be calculated with:

Total Cards - Cards in Actualized Decks = Available Cards

Such a clean solution!

For such a card-level column showing how many are in use to be most useful I can see it being worth making a deck-level flag for decks that are currently put together (as opposed to ones that have been disassembled or are just theoretical decklists).

Would lead to a lot less human error when editing fields.
