I'd classify it as a fairly aggro deck with a side-board to allow more control when necessary.
Void Snare plays double-duty allowing for spot removal of opponent's troublemakers as well as allowing for the return of Ensoul Artifact back to our hand, should it be targeted.

In doing a bunch of sample-hand testing, the key is to either start with 3 lands, or to have an Ensoul Artifact combo in hand.

I'm not sure what KTK has to offer, but it would be easy to swap out Aetherling for more Illusory Angels.
