I didnt really get it other then that you have some new cards you want to trade. what is so special about pack to power? its just standard stuff and you want eternal and a bonus?

Pack to power was a concept made by John Medina in which you buy a single pack and try to get incremental value off of trades by reading the market or playability. The end goal is to trade for a piece of power or something close to that price (I am actually going for an Urza's Saga booster box). Here is the original article by Medina:

I am more than willing to give a bit extra for things like duals.

Really none of the cards I am trading for will go into my personal collection so I am just trying to get stuff I know I can ship fast. Therefore I do not want cards like Sylvan tutor or Sea Drake. They may be 20 - 30 dollar cards but they are not easy to trade. I want cards I can move fast so if it is a good deal I will take it (probably).

Not related to the trades at hand... I read the link you posted Scurvey, but I noted it was from 2010. Did the dude manage to pull it off?

there was the plague rat project. a guy started with a crappy rat and traded his way to a black lotus which he proceeded to sell and give to charity i believe. googling will find it but he achieve it if i remember correctly. He is on this site now if i remember correctly.

I have read the entire story and it is very interesting.

In fact, there is a really nice guy on here (I traded my mox Emerald to him) who traded a single plague rat all the way to a Black lotus for charity:

Interesting stuff, but it never would've gotten going without some lop-sided trades from people because of who he is and whatnot... I guess if you have the patience, it can be done.

Plague Rats are not crappy sir! And that was me, it took over 2 months of trades (140ish total) to do it. I'm going to do it again starting up soon, trying to find a shop to work with for the final trade-in of stuff.

One of my local shops actually has a beta lotus that is not graded or anything but is in slightly played condition. I can ask them if you would like.

Also I started my project in March of this year (I believe March 24th... I have it written down somewhere) and cracked a pack of New Phyrexia which was standard and I believe the newest set available. The only cards of note in it where a birthing pod and a shrine of burning rage. I kept the pack wrapper but am not writing down every trade I make. All I kept was my pack wrapper and a piece of paper with the start date and the notable cards I pulled in the original pack.

I am not limiting myself on any cards I would take but the biggest hurtle so far is trading the good standard stuff for legacy or vintage playables. I would gladly trade 2 snaps and the entreat for any decent shape dual land (my cards equal ~ $56 while a decent shape plateau is about ~$45) but I cannot find anyone willing to make that leap. That is why I figured I would post on here with my $5 to blow.

Sorry but it has already been traded. I was also more referring to the cards posted above. I cannot trade P2P cards plus cards from my binder in unison and then put it in my P2P binder.

I have no problem trading the Snag or anything I was just hoping to get a bit of a bigger trade since I would only be able to make 2 trades on here, that's all.

Do you have a separate account for your P2P cards? I might be interested in smaller stuff, depending on what you have.
