Topic: just posted my g/r kamahl legacy deck and im alittle confused

I though legacy had a 60 card minimum and no maximum. This site is saying my 78 card deck is invalid.

Anyways my questions are:

1.Does legacy have a size limit?

2.Will my deck show as a result, its titled "guardians of krosa"

3. Does anyone like my deck? http://deckbox.org/sets/361518

Just so we know, I started playing magic last year and only play casually but have been entertaining the thought going to an event or something.

Thank you ahead of time for helping out big_smile

Re: just posted my g/r kamahl legacy deck and im alittle confused

Deckbox just currently has an arbitrary limit of 75 cards for deck size, except for EDH.  Just ignore the error, and maybe post in the Suggestions forum stating that it isn't valid.

Re: just posted my g/r kamahl legacy deck and im alittle confused

The deck is legal, there is no size limit.  However, the deck needs multiples.  Have you played with this at all?  It could be okay with some modification, but this deck would get killed in a Legacy event.  There is no reason for it to be 78 cards.  In any case, you either need tutors to get the cards you need, or you need multiple copies of cards to get some consistency in the deck...or possibly even both.  There's a few cards on the list that are situational and should either be cut or sideboarded.  For example, Balthor the Defiled is a great card for a Barbarian tribal deck.  The fact that only roughly 1/3 or so of your creatures are affected by Balthor makes me wonder why he's in there in the first place.  As it is, I'm not sure what it is you're going for here, but you need some major work to make it into a competitive Legacy deck outside of a casual format.

Edit: Why did I say Balthor the Defiled?  I meant Balthor the Stout.  I blame being in a rush this morning before work tongue

Re: just posted my g/r kamahl legacy deck and im alittle confused

I have played this deck and the reason most of my creature arent crazy legendaries is because I like variety. Getting Kamahl, Baru, stonebrow, elvish champion, or balthor is essentially a bonus. Because if I didn't draw any of my deck's leaders, my little guys can hold ground fairly well in the beginning. Not including copies also leaves me room to accommodate additional strategies and make my deck more versatile. (I also have a budget so I try not to do doubles of expensive cards >_<)

I rarely have bad plays with this deck and don't rely on legendaries completely to gain a victory. Again, if I get them out, they're just gravy on the existing strategies.

I appreciate the input and advice smile

In my defense, I've never played competitevely or anything but I have noticed that everyone atleast doubles up on their legendaries unless its edh.

Again thanks for the advice, I mean no offense and am not trying to get trolled to the next dimension as is procedure on most forums am new to lol

My overall strategy is a straight bum rush early on and then buffing my weak creatures with a leader or using sheer numbers.

An additional stragegy is flooding myself with mana and smashing my opponents. Lots of neat little combos are woven throughout it.

Haha, im sure any of my decks would get smacked around at anysort of competitive match though x)
