Jacob and the Demon's horn

Jacob's betrothed Jenna was taken by the church of Xathrid to be an acolyte.
She unwillingly found herself part of the Praetor of Xathrid's Angel summoning ceremony, and to her surprise found that the Church of Xathrid intended to kill the Angel whom they had summoned by capturing his soul in a magic ring of power.
When Jenna realised the Angel was to be sucked into the ring she sabotaged the ceremony and tried to free the angel, but it was too late the ring had already begun to suck in the Angels soul and Jenna was accidentally sucked into the ring instead.
When Jacob found out that Jenna had been taken he went to the church to free her. Xathrid himself appeared and deceived Jacob. He told him that the Angels had banished Jenna into the ring, and that the only way to free her was to hunt down and destroy the Angels. Only once they were all destroyed would the ring release her soul.
He offered Jacob a magic Demon's horn that would give Jacob great strength and would help him to fight the angels. In addition, he also offered him a Blade of Doom which had the power to slay an Angel with just a wave of its magic blade. Jacob insisted on having the ring that enslaved Jenna in his possession as well, And Xathrid agreed, having him sign a contract in blood that in exchange for this powerful ring, horn & blade he would fulfill his obligation to destroy the Angels, and that he would closely guard these magic artifacts in his possession until the contract was fulfilled
Xathrid sent his finest warrior Fornor the Halo hunter with Jacob and sent them first to train with the Skirsdag Priests, who trained Jacob in the art of Demon summoning. The priests showed Jacob how even an acolyte of the church with limited magic could summon weaker Demons when they had the correct technique.
As Jacob started off on his journey to find and destroy the Angels he was approached by the lesser Demon, Ob, who offered to join him. Ob, explained to Jacob that he was not always a Demon, and that he had been deceived by the angels into believing he would one day ascend into their ranks, He explained that 1/2 of his soul was also stored in the ring that Jacob carried. He went on to tell the tale of how the Angels had sent him on a quest of ascendance to slay a Demon, but that they had tricked him into believing that a magic demon horn would protect him from harm, when in fact the strength it gave him actually turned him into a demon.
Jacob showed Ob the demons horn that Xanthrid had given him and to his surprise found it was the same artifact that had transformed Ob into a demon. Jacob immediately discarded the horn but it magically kept re‐appearing on his belt. The contract that he had signed in blood bound the horn to him. His fate had been sealed and it seemed that the only way to free Jenna, and Ob from the ring he carried, and to save himself from transforming into A Demon was to fulfil the contract.
And so they set out on their journey.
