Notes

This is a prison combo deck, using Stasis and Frozen AEther to lock down your opponent. Combo decks can be fun to play, but not a lot of fun to play against.

I first built this deck back in Tempest when Capsize came out, using it to bounce Stasis back during my opponents turn. Since then new cards have come out which enhanced it, such as Forsaken City and Isochron scepter. Allowing better ways to pay or avoid paying for Stasis' upkeep cost. Howling Mine, Brainstorm and Ponder are your draw engines, and you can either kill your opponent using Ebony Owl Netsuke or by milling them if you side in Jace's Erasure.

You have access to 11 counterspells, plus 4 bounce cards. Arcane Denial is included instead of Counterspell because it works well with the Owl. Boomerang over other bounce spells because it can bounce lands. And there are only three Force of Wills because in practice I've found that sometimes you don't want to pitch cards to that 4th FOW. There are only 2 or 3 of the various key cards in this deck, you can find them with Enlightened Tutor and the draw cards. For Isochron Scepter, early game it's better to imprint Boomerang and bounce lands, late game it's better to imprint Arcane Denial and counter spells.

Your sideboard has Elixir of Immortality, Grafdigger's Cage and Sacred Ground to deal with various issues from being milled yourself to Dredge to land destruction. There is only one of each card as you can tutor for them. Jace's Erasure is the alternate win condition as stated earlier, and Trickbind can be swapped for Arcane Denial if your dealing with an abilities deck. Finally Spellskite and Phyrexian Metamorph serve to ward of Burn and Aggrod respectively.
