Notes

Mono Red

Out: 4 champion of wits

4 glint-sleeve siphoners

In: 1 cast down

2 essence extraction

1 never// return

1 sorcerous spyglass

1 torrential gearhulk

1 confiscation coup

1 duress

Just side out all the x/1s and bring in a bunch of removal. Duress is a cheeky t1 answer to their threats, and looking at there hand isnt awful if you do happen to miss.

BR aggro/ midrange

Out: 4 champion of wits

4 glint-sleeve siphoners

In:

1 cast down

2 essence extraction

1 never// return

1 sorcerous spyglass

1 torrential gearhulk

1 confiscation coup

1 duress

Essentially the same board play as Mono red, even though they tend to be a turn slower.

RB control

Out: 4 champion of wits

4 glint-sleeve siphoners

In:

1 cast down

1 never// return

1 sorcerous spyglass

1 torrential gearhulk

1 confiscation coup

1 duress

1 gonti

1 liliana

if you are 100% sure the control version, which doesn't show up that much, you don't want the extractions. If you feel you really want the extractions, they are interchangeable with pushes, but I prefer pushes. The idea here is that you both turn into a heavy grind deck, they often have the eldest reborns, karns, and other good creatures, you just need to keep with with there Card advantage (CA)

Mono G and Mono G splash B

Out:

4 champion of wits

1 liliana

In:

1 torrential gearhulk

1 cast down

1 never return

1 sorcerous spyglass|

1 confiscation coup

you just need removal in this MU, although extraction doesn't kill that much. Spyglass hits Heart of kiren and champion doesn't block well. If you can keep ghalta off the board you can probably win

Mono G splash U

Out:

4 champion of wits

1 supreme will

1 liliana

1 fatal push

2 glint sleeve siphoner

In:

1 torrential gearhulk

1 cast down

1 sorcerers spyglass

2 duress

3 negate

1 never//return

This MU is moredependant on you using your removal at the right time to not get blown out by their counters and tempo plays. Although it is less consistent and powerful, they can strong arm you with a big board and a negate backup, keeo that in mind.

GB constrictor

Out:

4 champion

4 glint

1 liliana

In:

1 cast down

2 duress

1 sorcerous spyglass

1 yaheenis expertise

1 gonti

1 confiscation coup

1 never// return

1 torrential gearhulk

This MU is fully dependent on if your opp has any bestiary or shapers sanctuary post board. If they don't, you probably win. If they do, you have an uphill battle with the only way your probably going to win is to commit memory either card or race them with creatures and hope they have a clunky draw.

UW and Esper control

Out:

4 push

1 cast down

1 supreme will

1 ravenous chup

1 essence scatter

In:

3 negate

1 liliana

1 torrential

1 gonti

1 sorcerers spyglass

2 duress

this MU is all about leveraging your spells and trying to not have dead cards. Just bring in more threat to run them thin of answers and try to resolve 2 threats on t4 instead of one on 2 and one on 3. Contempts are for teferis and some UW lists play gearhulks and most esper lists play 3-4, so essence scatter is fine leave in.

The Mirror

Out:

2 push

1 supreme will

1 ravounous chup

1 cast down

In:

1 gearhulk

1 gonti

1 spyglass

1 liliana

1 confiscation coup
