In some place testing it's determined that the steam vents and sulfur falls aren't 100% required (due to the amount of drawing/filtering).

I've successfully cast even niv-mizzet without waiting on specific lands and only have had to wait on crackling drake once (for 2 turns). I'm gonna save the $100 while those prices are so crazy.
