Strip Mine was not restricted when this deck was being played--before "Type I and Type II" deck designations were created by DCI, let alone the current "Vintage, Legacy," etc. types used now. Indeed, if you did not play 4 Strip Mines back then you would not last long against Tebernacle, Library, Bazaar, Diamond Valley, or the other ignorant lands out there (Strip Mine can be used to remove mana producing lands, but really it is for removal of the special Arabian N., Antiquities, and Legends lands).
