Notes

There are a lot of builds of Izzet at the moment, and this is where I would start. The same cards that impress me about Rakdos can transfer over to Izzet if we want, playing both
Bonecrusher Giant
and
Embercleave
alongside aggressive, evasive creatures like Sprite Dragon. With the ground getting gummed up by Nissa lands, flying over feels like a solid plan.

Sprite Dragon
Stormwing Entity

Sprite Dragon
in particular has routinely impressed me since it was printed, but the power level of the format has meant that it hasn't had a chance to shine. Prowess is a strong mechanic on its own, and making the bonus permanent gets out of control quickly.
Stormwing Entity
, similar to
Spawn of Mayhem
, does well at evading
Eliminate
also.

What I like most about Izzet is that, unlike Rakdos, the deck can transform post-board to have a more controlling strategy.
Narset
,
The Royal Scions
and
Crackling Drake
all give the deck a longer game, especially when it's boarding into countermagic. When the deck needs to slow down, it's capable of doing so, especially if the opponent is sideboarding like it's still game one.
