I love the flavor of this deck- artificers are just awesome.



 


First thing that catches my eye is the severe lack of lands.
While you’ve got a ton of mana rocks like the cluestones and Manalith, being
able to cast them at all may still be a problem. I would add at least 6 more
lands, though preferably 8-10. 40 lands in EDH is the equivalent to running 24
lands in a 60 card deck, so adjust accordingly.


 


Esper Battlemage feels underpowered for the format. 2 damage
and -1/-1 aren’t all that good in EDH, even if they’re repeatable.


 


Speaking of repeatable, you’ve got a couple cards (Argivian
Find, Drafna’s Restoration, Reconstruction, etc) that you can only use once.
Finding something repeatable may be a better option for at least one of these-
Hanna, Ship’s Navigator could work. She isn’t a wizard, but she is errataed to “Human
Artificer”, so there’s that.


 


It feels like you need more creatures as well. Many of your
creatures are underpowered for flavor reasons, so you need something to make up
for it- some sort of token producer could work here, like Myr Turbine, Shrine
of Loyal Legions, or Myr Battlesphere. There are other token producers in your
colors but I’ve stuck with artifacts for flavor purposes. Other good creatures
could be: Solemn Simulacrum (basically just put him in any edh deck), Sharuum
the Hegemon, Sphinx of the Steel Wind, Magister Sphinx, Treasure Mage, Bringer
of the White Dawn, or Inkwell Leviathan. This compromises the flavor a bit but
will give you more game later on- just adding a couple bombs like this would be
great- especially Sharuum and Bringer.


 


Training Grounds only affects 2
creatures- cut it. There also isn’t really support for Aether Vial- you could
keep it at 3 to flash a bulk of your creatures out but most of them don’t have
too much of an impact on board if you drop them like this. Terrain Generator
also doesn’t have enough support- it’s really only good in a deck that runs
mostly basics. You’ve only got 9 total, so it’s not worth the slot.


 


Homeward Path feels awkward with
Memnarch, but it’s still useful so I’m not sure.


 


Cards you should look into:
Voltaic Key is absurd in any artifact deck, especially with stuff like Thran
Dynamo or Grim Monolith (other cards you should check out). I would also
recommend trying something like Mycosynth Lattice + Darksteel Forge, it’s a lot
of fun. Phyrexian Metamorph is great in a deck like this- it’s very versatile,
as you could copy something like Gilded Lotus or a creature someone else has
like Woodfall Primus. Tezzeret (either version of him) could be awesome in a
deck like this too, and it’s plenty flavorful. Mindslaver could be fun with
enough artifact recursion and mana- you could soft lock someone out of the
game. Capsize is outstanding lategame. You can cast Rite of Replication too;
that’s just an auto-include for EDH for shits and giggles. Opposition might be
fun too if you find yourself adding a bunch more creatures.
