My card pool was really weak, aside from good red removal and two (really good) bombs in Ajani and the red Soul.  I had two good options - red-green-splash white, or red-white.  I went with Naya, because I felt like my green cards were better than my white ones (aside from Ajani), and that way I could make full use out of Sunblade Elf and Kird Chieftan.

I went with the strategy of playing 18-19 lands to ensure I could play my bombs and mana sinks.  I had two Cone of Flames, so my hope was to survive any aggro and wipe their board with a Cone of Flame, then win with bombs.  It didn't go as well as I'd have hoped.  I went 1-2 with a round 1 bye, though I beat Garski after all the rounds in a match for fun. 

I needed mana fixing, badly, but my card pool was pretty bad.  I had no Evolving Wilds, no Nissa's Expeditions, no Verdant Havens.  I got caught on one mountain (when I needed two) frequently - maybe I should have dropped a forest for a mountain, I guess.  A lot of it was just bad luck - I remember two games where I had 4-5 forests and 1 mountain, even though my deck had 7 forests and 9 mountains.

All-in-all it was fun, at least, so see what could happen when my deck did work.  Ajani won me several games - it's just so hard to come back from if you can't deal with her right away.  One game I was down to 4 health, but pretty quickly got bumped up to 32 because my opponent couldn't find an answer.
