So you can maybe guess what I'm going to say next then: Patience is a virtue. Your trade partner is new and is communicating with you and you don't need the cards immediately. If two weeks goes by and he still hasn't sent the cards then start up a BTR.

Between those comments of his was me asking what's going on. So, yea, I am definitely communicating with the guy and I can't really help him in the situation of him being unable to find the time to make it to the post office.

I wasn't trying to say that you weren't communicating as it looks like you are. I just like to stress the importance of communication in general.

For domestic trades 2 weeks should be allowed

I'm going to assume that 2 weeks duration was meant to include package travel time for long distances (Alaska to Florida?), not two weeks to drop the package off at the post office from the time both parties accepted the trade. I think it's a bit absurd to give someone one state away a full two weeks to get off their ass and get to the post office. Like I said before, I just think that if you're not able to ship in a timely manner then you shouldn't be trading in the first place.

Yes, 2 weeks from the date the trade is accepted to the day it should have arrived at your door. Like I said before, I feel your pain with the pace of this trade as I've dealt with it many times myself. Has your trade partner dropped the ball in getting this trade out? Absolutely. Has he broken any rules? Not yet. As of today he hasn't done anything to warrant negative feedback according to the Deckbox rules.

I completely agree with you when you say that people who don't have enough time to make a run to the post office (or even print a shipping label off of paypal) probably shouldn't be trading.

One other question, did you need the cards from this trade for an event or something?

Per the rules:
- For domestic trades 2 weeks should be allowed. This seems high to me, but not everyone is on here everyday like I am. This is probably a reasonable amount of time for most people.
- Negative Feedback can only be left after the approval of an admin and almost always after a BTR. Thank goodness for this. Otherwise people would probably throw out negative feedback just because they decided they didn't like someone or because they took a little longer than expected.

I understand your frustration; I've been in a similar situation numerous times myself. (yes I used a semicolon) Just give the trade a little bit of time. Poke the other trader every other day or so to make sure they can't forget about the trade. It looks like the person you are trading with is new so they probably just aren't very good at it yet. In this situation I would have asked them to ship first. Give them tips on how to get better. Tell them about paypal.com/shipnow. Encourage constructive conversation. If the trade still isn't completed after 2 weeks and it doesn't sound like the other guy is even trying to complete it then start up a BTR. A good percentage of the time (probably over 50%) that is enough to get the trader to send the cards.

Always remember, the most important thing in trading is COMMUNICATION.

I also think this is a good idea. Selling on TCG requires listing a condition.

I'd be willing to trade these for duals, power, or other high-end cards. Just make me an offer if you're interested!

Having played against modern Merfolk myself I can say with certainty that Thassa is very good in this deck. The game usually goes something like this:

T1: land, Aether Vial
T2: vialed Cursecatcher, lord
T3: vialed Lord, active Thassa

The Scry 1 is extremely important for maximizing the quality of your draws. Aggro decks need to keep drawing threats to be relevant and Thassa helps with that quite a bit. My best friend pilots a fish deck which runs 2 Thassas and that seems to be a good number. I would not suggest running 4.

About Remand: My opinion is that you can run 4. I'm not saying for sure run 4, Mana Leak is a very good counter also, but if the game goes longer than 5 turns Leak becomes significantly less useful and is next to useless against Tron. Merfolk should be fast enough that if you counter just 1 spell that would mess you up that probably delayed your opponent long enough for you to swing for the win.

Side note: Put something to counter Ensnaring Bridge in your sideboard. Spell Pierce might be all you need.
2nd Side note: Twisted Image is amazing.

That could work also.

Looks like DB is using the card text instead of the oracle text. Search "You can't be the target of" and it will show up. I agree in that I think it would be better to use the oracle text.

Added pics for the Tropical Island

If you change your mind and get interested in picking up a very competitive deck, I'm looking to sell my Uril, the Miststalker edh.

Decklist

Looking to sell my highly competitive Uril, the Miststalker EDH deck. It's a very good deck, but I just don't have the time to play it. All cards are Lightly Played or better.

Decklist

DB trade value is over $1200.
To buy this deck on TCG it would be over $1000.

Asking $850. Willing to listen to offers, but I'm not desperate to move this.

The only cards on the decklist that will NOT BE INCLUDED are the Sword of Feast and Famine and the Exploration. I may pick up one of each from the Modern event deck and Conspiracy respectively to move this as a complete deck.

Uril is hand painted ALTERED. See attached pic.
Karmic Guide is Urza's Legacy
Enlightened Tutor is 6th Edition
Worldly Tutor is Mirage (I think, have to double check)
Tooth and Nail is MMA
Mana Crypt is Judge Promo Foil
Sensei's is COK
Land Tax is 4th Edition
Sylvan Library is 5th Edition
Mirari's Wake is Judgment (ITALIAN)
Ajani, CotP is M14
Ancient Tomb is FTV:Realms
Shocks are RTR block
Duals are all Revised
Grove of the Burnwillows is Future Sight

Edit: I'm also looking to sell my Alpha Tropical Island which was restored by Eric Klug. You can see it on his blog here. I'm not sure exactly what value to place on this card, but I think $2000 would be a fair starting point as that is lower than the 1 Moderately Played listed on TCG. Willing to listen to offers.

Pics of the Trop

And before anyone suggests it, I will be posting both of these in the High End Magic Facebook group after I take some pics.

The way I see you really have 3 options:
1) If you really like the "cheating" strategy then your most competitive option is an Instant Reanimator deck.
2) If your goal is just to get really big stuff out then Tron is even more competitive than Reanimator.
3) If you're looking for something a little more budget friendly, but less competitive, then my friend's mono-G ramp deck definitely fits the bill. It runs Arbor Elf and Overgrowth for huge early ramp into Tooth and Nail for 2 Primalcrux. You could make this more competitive by adding blue for countermagic or white for Path to Exile and such.

I had a similar problem a while back when trying to print out a shipping label. The problem ended up being Chrome. If you're using Chrome, try using another browser like Firefox. That fixed it for me. Sometime after I had this issue I was able to print labels from Chrome again. Sounds like it might be an ongoing problem.

Here is the edition guide from ABUGames.

The two problem sets are Chronicles and Anthologies. Chronicles was a reprint set containing cards originally printed in The Dark, Legends, Arabian Nights, and Antiquities. The Chronicles versions of these cards are white bordered while the original versions are all black bordered. Both the original and reprint contain the original set symbol. Same applies to Anthologies which is all white bordered and contains reprints from about 20 different sets. Again, the original printings of these cards all black bordered while the reprints are white bordered.

Just took a super quick look and I have a few thoughts.
1) Mistcutter Hyrda and Summoning Trap are completely counter-intuitive. Hydra can't be countered to activate the trap and trapping into a Hydra gets you a 0/0 that dies immediately.
2) Ring of 3 Wishes is bad. Really really bad. 10 mana for a card in hand is way too slow.
3) Without any ramp Garruk is going to be too slow.
4) Summoning Trap only works if your opponent has counter spells and can easily whiff with only 2 fatties in the deck. Since it is one of your main ways of cheating a fatty into play and the fact that it is a dead card against many decks I would run it in the sideboard.

Overall this seems too slow and too easily disrupted to really be competitive at all. =/

I've been watching this thread since it started to get an idea of what other people would like and to formulate an opinion of my own. I personally don't have distinct sets of cards that never mix together so I wouldn't benefit as much as some others from multiple inventories. However, I can see the benefits that it would give to some users who have sets that they never want to mix with others and they will never want to trade. I personally would be benefitted the most by fre-eform tags attached to individual cards. In addittion it would be very nice to ihave the ability to include specific cards in decks.

So I guess from my perspective the best option would be to implement both free-form tags as well as multiple inventories. Just my 2 cents.

Lili just doesn't seem to fit with the strategy of the deck at all. The only reason I can see playing her is for the creature removal after resolving a Living End if they happened to have some creatures in their gy beforehand. Her +1 will allow your opponent to dump creatures as well as you so that's not helpful, but you don't even need that added discard anyway since you're playing creatures that can get themselves into the gy.

I see 4 versions of Living End in your list of decks. Is this the one you are currently running?

I had almost the exact same thing happen to me. No cards got lost, but the guy I was trading with's cards took an excessive amount of time to arrive. I left neutral because of the time and he left retaliatory neutral because I was "impatient." lol

sebi wrote:

Hmm... so Artifact Creatures & Enchantment Creatures are Creatures, Land Creatures are Lands and Land Artifacts are also Lands?

Correct. The priority order should be Land > Creature > Artifact || Enchantment. Feel free to debate whether Artifact or Enchantment has higher priority. The god weapons are the only Enchantment Artifacts in the game atm.

Updated post. Now need 2 Blood Moon.

As Chaim said, that's because the 2013 Judge promo isn't in the database yet.

I can kinda see that, but that would be more of a user brought up thing. Where they get neutral feedback, and feel like it's not bad enough to warrant negative feedback, and so count themselves lucky. My issue is with people that immediately jump to neutral feedback and don't give you chance to make things right and get a positive for little things you could have fixed.

Or the people that leave neutral feedback just because they didn't like you or for no reason whatsoever.
