Well we have both done what was said, but no chance to leave feedback. This sucks since it's my first trade that I actually agreed to (mainly because the person was in my city), but still.....?

Hello,

You can only leave feedback on mail trades, not on local trades. The feedback system is meant to establish how trustworthy a person is when sending cards by mail. Local trading does not need too much trust as you meet the other trader in person, so he cannot double-cross you smile

You can find some information and guidelines for trading on this help page: http://deckbox.org/help/trade

Is there a price difference between foil and normal cards of the same card? if so where would i be able to find the price difference?

Hello spyder,

Prices on deckbox are fetched from tcgplayer.com. The displayed prices are by default average price for that card over all expansions and conditions. If you click on prices, the card page on tcgplayer.com will list various vendor that have that card, and you can see foil prices in that listing.

Hope that helps.

Hi, and thank you for the suggestions. They sound good to me, we are considering adding them.

Hello, and thanks for your nice words.

The special promo and token cards are a bit of a problem, and they have been mentioned a few times in the past. The problem is that I really really wanted to only have an official source for the card information, seeing as gatherer has been created for that purpose, and they do not include these cards.

I know magiccards.info track them, but I was hesitant in importing card information that is there because I have no guarantees that all of it is 100% true, and that all those cards indeex exist in those editions. Having to remove cards later, after people added them to inventories and tradelists, opens up a big can of worms smile

Nevertheless as it seem people are having trouble with this issue often, we shall try to decide on a way to solve this.

Yes, it's definitely in the list.

There are some more advanced requests in this thread that we don't yet know in what form to implement, but as thalaric very nicely put it in one of his posts, the first step will definitely be to show which decks of yours have a card. This will probably be present as a dropdown option on each card's page.

Thanks for reporting. They're fixed now.

What if you only count numerical feedback on completed trades but leave comments available on all trades?

That's not a bad idea. This way people with canceled trades that had a bad experience have a say about it.

One small problem is that the cancelled trades are hidden by default, and I'm not sure if users generally click the 'show cancelled' button. I might make an exception in the listing and show the ones that are not cancelled, or cancelled and have feedback. Hmm...

We will change it so that cancelled trades and local trades do not count for the rating this week.

Darcet, I have checked out your trade and the user does indeed look like he's just giving bad ratings and creating trades without talking with anyone. We will email the user asking for an explanation. If he does not respond, he will be flagged as possibly inactive or not trustworthy, and a warning will be displayed to other users on his profile and trade pages.

Hello Homogenous,

It is now imported, posted yesterday evening in the announcements forum: http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1261.

Usually when we post there, we don't come back to the individual topics to reply there as well, so it's worth peeking in there from time to time smile.

Yep, duals of the planeswalkers is not listed separately on gatherer, it's why we did not import it as such.

Cheers.

Hello,

Mtg recently got a nice new shiny Premium set: Graveborn, and we've imported it today.

Warhammer got a few card fixes (thanks cuttingrage and primus magicus), like

Star Dragon
Swarm of Bats
Inflame
Skavenslaves
Warhawk Rider
Ancient Stegadon

We've also got a brand new expansion, The Iron Rock. I haven't got any card images for them though, so if any kind soul has them, let me know by email or by posting in the Warhammer subforum here. Many thanks.

Cuttingrage has let me know there are some inconsistencies with traits on some cards, but sadly I did not have time to properly investigate this in depth. Will do for next time.

Wow players get some missing cards added to the db (thank you Terrylaterreur, Crimson and xou for reporting):

Kirox Butcherblade
Jacob Blackcrest
Leisha of Darnassus
Jaral of Gilneas
Rumi of Gnomeregan
Saria of Stormwind
Kaave of the Exodar
Baeltor of the Undercity
Frizlix of Kezan
Akumo of Thunder Bluff
Kalia of Silvermoon City
Gurzak of Orgrimmar
Void Rip
Bottled Cunning
Red Rider Air Rifle

Stability

There have been reports lately of site responsiveness problems and stability and we've identified the most probable culprit, but my tinkering upto now has not been conclusive. We're still looking at these problems, it will work smoother in the next few days. At least I can feel good that my sysadmin / webmaster / unix admin skills are considerably helped to improve by this persistent issue. My sanity not so much. lol

Seems that tcgplayer has fixed the issue, the price listings are back to normal values.

Thanks for reporting.

Thanks Trickster, my bad, I missed that red triangle to edit card.  However, when I load, that rainbow icon does not
work on my screen, I get error msg.  At any rate, I can now change edition.  Still a bit clunky as it was added as a work around no doubt.  Good news is when I export the report says correct editions.  However when you search by editions, your 4th edition versions will show up as inventory in 8th edition, etc.  Oh well, can't have everything I guess.

Appreciate your help.

Hello,

I am sorry you feel the design for the dropdown is bad, it's not a workaround, that is the best we could come up with smile. Any suggestions on how to make it more proeminent is of course welcome.

Please let us know what does not work when you click on the rainbow icon of the Add card dialog, and also what browser you are using, we will fix it.

On the filtering issue: the edition filter and edition column are displaying and considering all editions a card was printed in, regardless if you have the card in that edition or not, and the column only displays the last edition the card was printed in. I agree for collectors that might seem counter intuitive, and lacking in features, but that is the desired behaviour for now. We might expand on that, and clear things out a bit in the future. See also my explanation on this post: http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1249

Thank you for your feedback.

Hello Hans,

The inventory listing shows all the cards that you own, without splitting them by edition.  This means that if you will add 1 Sylvan Library from Legends and then 1 Sylvan Library from 5th Edition, you will see 2 Sylvan Libraries, with a details icon near them. If you click it you will see the detailed view of your sylvan Libraries.

But still, they will be listed as 1 single item. When you hover on it, it cannot show more than one image (imagine entering a Mountain from all the editions it was printed in - what would you see then when you hover). So the image shown is, by convention - out of all possible card printings - the last printed image of that card.

The edition column that you see on the right shows the same thing. That is: the last edition and rarity this card was printed in. It is not a column indicating *all* editions you have of the card or all editions possible of that card, because that would make it a possibly very very big column smile.

I see this column is causing confusion, this has been mentioned before as a problem, and we will think on how to make it clear what it signifies. Also it is possible that we will add a second Expanded view of the inventory, for the collectors, where they would see instead of 2 Sylvan Libraries, a split view, like the one that is shown in the details dialog.

Hello,

Yep, this has been a problem last month, we've looked into it and set some more prevention in place so that it does not happen again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

P.S. The topic has been discussed a bit here: http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1174

That will require a bit more work, and it's something we want to do, but I cannot promise any deadlines.

Terrylaterreur wrote:

Yep, Void Rip and Bottled Cunning are missing, as are Kirox Butcherblade, Jacob Blackcrest and Red Rider Air Rifle.

I previously reported those cards missing, but I doubt that the admin are reading these forums.

http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4334#p4334

If so, please add them!

We are definitely reading. smile We'll import the missing ones after the weekend.

Hello,

There was a small issue with the trade autocompleter input, that it choked on card names containing '.'. It has now been fixed.

Thank you for reporting it.

Hello guys,

Thanks for the error reports, I've fixed The Bleeding Wall and Shaggoth.

I've also uploaded the scans and imported Ream of the Phoenix King.

Still some questions though, as I have spoilers and info and scans from many places, and I'm not sure which information is final and which is playtesting stuff. Can someone clearly confirm that all the image scans are the correct version from the final product? If so I will correct the current mistakes (I assume Pageant of Shrikes is not printed, but instead we have Warhawk Rider. Same for Ratling Gun and Ancient Stegadon. And in Realm of the Phoenix King Chakax is actually Skavenslaves.)

Thank you for your help. Listing of the last 2 editions is: http://deckbox.org/games/whi/cards?p=1&f=4324.23

"Ach! Hans, Run!" to Ach! Hans, Run!

Performance

This last week I've done some admin stuff - upgrading of various packages, optimizing some things on deckbox and on the other websites running on the server, and such stuff. It had a considerable effect on the smoothness of how our server runs, CPU usage is way down. There's still some possible bandwidth issues to investigate but overall, website snappiness and performace should be up.
