Posting the cards early, love it!!

First off, having this entire database download is awesome!  Would it be possible to add your cardID to the Export Inventory feature so that the two files could be compared easily for doing advanced comparisons for cards I'm missing?  My PowerBI Collection Analysis tool would love this!  For now, I'll extract the ImageID from the URL string and tie it that way.

Thanks for all you do Sebi!

The inventory export feature has an error with the Image URL.  It has an extra "https://deckbox.org" at the start of it.  Lop that off and the URL works.

The MagicFest Sol Ring is in there, it's listed as Grand Prix 26.

Sebi,

Could the foil flag field be converted to a multiple choice “type” that would allow us to choose and be considered as part of the card name like foils are today?  I assume it’s a Boolean today, turn it into an int and then it would allow multiples. This would allow you to introduce future foil types too for the same card in one field and still have the same data structure for the most part. I realize it’s similar to adding another column (e.g. another flag), but this route is more manageable in the long run as you’re basically making this another key member and gives you N number types for the future.  Today’s 0 value records become non foil, flagged become foil, and new values get established as needed. Wouldn’t be hard to then make a table by edition to say what types were available and limit/default the type drop-down automatically. This isn’t unlike how variant comic book covers are handled on other collection sites where everything is the same except the cover art.

My $.02, one database developer to another.

I just received the Love your LGS promo edition of Fabled Passage with retro frame in foil and it's beautiful.  Wanted to let @Sebi know that it's not in the database yet.  You can see a picture of it here:

Thanks for all you do Sebi!

Thanks for splitting out the Metallic Sliver!  Will you also be doing the same thing for the Llanowar Elves, Assembly-Worker and Cloud Sprite tokens in Time Spiral Remastered?

The Metallic Sliver TOKEN in TSR is mixed with the Metallic Sliver creature card from Tempest/Premium Deck Slivers.  It's a bit confusing to have them be the same.  Suggest renaming this one "Token: Metallic Sliver" like other cards in this predicament.  I would suggest the same thing for the Llanowar Elves TOKEN in TSR.

Thanks for all you do, Sebi!

Adding another vote to get the set of 9 Kaldheim placeholder cards added that are blank and used to note the double-sided cards in your deck.  Thanks!

Looks like some Kaldheim "The List" cards are missing.  I pulled the ones below and didn't find The List as an option for edition dropdown.  Oddly, I pulled several others that were available in the edition list for specification.  Thanks for all you do Seb!

I'm sure that it's on the to-do list somewhere, but now that we have all these partner commanders it would be nice to be able to maintain and keep them in our Deckbox decklists.  I put them in notes for now, but the ability to put them both at the top rather than just one would be a fantastic add.  Thanks for all you do Sebi!

Will the Zendikar Rising Art Cards be added?  Also, what about the Zendikar Rising Commander Tokens, will they be added?

With the release of JumpStart there was an addition of a card named "Lands" to the database which is the cover card for the Lands pack in that set.  Often I will copy/paste a decklist from other sites using the "Add Card List" function on the deck page.  Most sites show the decks grouped by card types, which almost always has "Lands" as a section, so when these lists get processed it adds this new Jumpstart card erroneously.  It's a small annoyance, but thought people should note it.  If there's anyway to get this card name changed to "Token: Lands" that would eliminate the issue.  Thanks for all you do Sebi!

Sebi,

Firstly, thanks for the update and all the hard work!  I was looking at Kazandu Mammoth after having searched for it using the search box at top and it doesn't show the button to "Show Other Side."  However, if I go to the Edition list (https://deckbox.org/editions/587-zendikar-rising) and click the card it does show the "Show Other Side" button.  I then tested a few other double side cards and they all seem to do the same thing for this set.  I tested a few double sided cards on older sets (like SOI and INN) and the button shows whether you search or use the Edition list.

I also noticed the these new double-sided cards don't seem to be showing rules text or flavor.  Perhaps related?

I just opened the Jirina Kudro deck, named Ruthless Regiment.  In cataloging the tokens I have five Human // Treasure tokens.  The Human is #004 C20 and the Treasure is #019 C20.  I don't see this card available in the options on the C20 Tokens page.  All other tokens in the deck were there.

Another suggestion might be to allow a mode whereby when turned on during import the values in inventory are overwritten by what’s in the file provided rather than added to the amount already in inventory. I now get why it works that way since you’re “adding cards” but honestly was not expecting it to work that way as most import processes overwrite the current value or only update where different.

I'm trying to upload a CSV file (using the inventory export as a source) to set my tradelist cards up and have had little success other than completely blowing away my collection (and losing my Last Updated Date!!!) and re-importing from the backup with the tradelist number set.

I first tried importing it with a value in the count and my tradelist count of the CSV.  This doubled my count and set my tradelist.  Well that wasn't what I wanted so I tried doing an import with negative numbers to reverse the change and that didn't work.  Then I blew away my collection completely and started over.  This time I tried uploading a file with a zero for count and the tradelist count value set but this wouldn't import because the count was zero (I'm guessing).  Then I tried deleting the count column and importing the list with just the tradelist count but it wouldn't import this either.  So does the import feature only allow you to update counts upwards?  Is the only way to set the values by deleting the whole collection and then importing again with an adjusted tradelist count?

It would seem that just allowing negatives wouldn't be too big a deal then inventories could be adjusted up and down pretty easily.  If that's not possible and updating by importing the whole collection each time truly is the only way, I would love to see the import process take the last update date/time in the import file and apply it if present.  I use the modified date a lot to know when I last looked at a particular card and based upon the age of that update may decide to go check my actual physical inventory if I haven't touched it in a long time and verify I still have that many cards.  Thanks for any ideas/thoughts/input as well as all you do on this site!

I found a bug tonight while editing, very specific steps, but I think I got them described correctly below for you.

I was in an edition page.  Clicked on a card quantity where I own multiple editions (besides the edition being edited) and launched the panel.  I clicked in the quantity, entered the amount and pressed ENTER.  I believe that in the past pressing enter would make it save at this point, but instead this made all the OTHER editions show (outside the edition being edited).  Then I pressed SAVE and it merged all my editions together into the edition being edited.  It also changed the one foil I had to the edition being edited (it was not the same).

Hopefully this makes sense, but I was able to reproduce the steps.  Thanks for all your hard work Seb.  As a fellow IT professional I know all about what goes into making something like this product.

Sebi,

I think I figured out how I got the multiple version updates to same modified date.  I pulled up a card (Aether Storm) and had 1 Homelands print and 4 Fifth Edition prints.  I pressed the add row, which added a new Fifth Edition row and then clicked save.  The old interface would combine the 4 existing into 5 cards in one row, the new interface is keeping the added row separate but updating the modified date for both Fifth Edition rows to today's date.  I was able to reproduce this behavior on other cards in my own testing.  Hopefully this keep separate rows is not intended behavior and it will go back to the old way of combining like editions (that have all attributes matching).  I often will click the add row button for as many copies as I have and rely on the site to combine them to the total in one row or use it to add extra copies obtained.  Hope this helps!

I don't see it doing it now as I just tried it on Abyssal Specter and it only franked the one I edited.  I was editing Syncopate in my collection earlier and added one to the Return to Ravnica but it set all three editions I own to an edit of today, all at the same time stamp (screenshot attached).  I will keep an eye out for it doing it and let you know.

In regards to 9700377's reply, I'm totally with him on not being able to see my prints on an individual page and having to click to see them (his #1).  Your idea of show the first X prints (10 or 15 seems reasonable) is a great in between solution.

When I edit via the inventory screen I usually have it sorted by "modified date" so that when I save I see the card most recently edited at the top so I can verify my edit was taken/correct.  With this new update it appears that all printings of a card's modified date are being adjusted as opposed to just the printing that I edited.  For example, in the past if I had three prints/versions of a card and then I modified the count on one of the three prints, only the print with the modified count would show at the top of the list.  Now when I press save I'm seeing all three show at the top whether or not the count was updated.  Hopefully that makes sense!

I would love it if there were a way to run a Card Database search and filter on the quantity in my inventory.  I collect playsets and while I can run queries against my inventory, if my count is zero there's no way to get those cards into view so I use the Card Database search instead, export it to CSV and filter there.  And getting it into CSV is a bear because there's no native "export to CSV" command and you have to just copy/paste the HTML tables.  The Edition checklists are good, but not having the rarity available in view makes those difficult to use as I'm often going through bulk and just want to focus on the commons and uncommons.

It would be great if I could say "show me all cards in this set where my inventory count is less than 4 and rarity is X" to get a hit list without having to export to Excel and filter.  Thanks for the consideration!

WOTC released the full list of reprints in the new Mystery Booster set being given out at the MagicFest events.  Read about it here:

https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/a … qQ7rn5c3UM

If you want to see the list in Deckbox format, I uploaded it on my profile here:

Enjoy!

Absolutely!  They're nothing too crazy, just a nice way to explore counts and values by set/color, get to lists etc...  I haven't done a whole lot because the updates to the dataset are cumbersome, but if it could be setup to read direct it would certainly inspire me to be a bit more creative.
