Yep, they have printed my beloved elf smile. I will have to make a new deck to win one though, it would be pretty ugly to use my Jund deck to win one of these tongue

Originally spoiled here.

Update 05 March: All up to date.

I will add new cards as they appear to the database when their spoilers are added to the official forums.

The card scans used for tooltips are 300px high (or 300px wide, in case of Quest cards). Any size larger than that is fine, I will take care of resizing them properly. People who would like to help with scans, should scan a full expansion, and post a reply here, attaching a zipfile with the scans. The images should have the collector's number as name, and jpg as the format.

Sets in need of scans

Thank you!

Thanks to a prolific MtG deckbuilder (Locke) that turned to other games, I'm proud to present the first new game to be added to deckbox: Warhammer: Invasion. (Card list here: http://deckbox.org/games/whi/cards)

A relatively new game, it lacks an official card database, or deck building software. So I figured we could make an effort to  accomodate them here. smile The lack of an official card listing or database makes this task a bit difficult, along with the fact that  I personally do not have easy access to the game expansions in my home town.

So I have set up a thread here where the Warhammer players can give me a hand with spoilers and card scans as expansion sets come out.

So... Welcome and happy deckbuilding! (and jump over to the other thread to help me with the missing card scans tongue)

After much deep and profound brain things inside my head [1], I have decided to get rid of the multiple ways of adding cards to sets, as it was confusing. So now there's only one 'Add cards' button and widget, autocompleted, and one input for importing lists of cards.

Moreover, I was annoyed by having to click around to switch from Inventory to Tradelist to Wishlist just to see and modify something about one card. So now I have added the counts on all the sets, in the full set listing, and also on the card page, so wherever I am I can see and modify the number of cards of that type that I own / trade / need. Counts are also sortable now, thanks to the someone's nagging tongue.

The tradelist is now a subset of your inventory. Whenever you add stuff *directly* to your tradelist, they will be added to your inventory also. When you want to add something that you already have in your inventory to your tradelist, you'd do so by going in your inventory and changing that card's tradelist count, from 0 to whatever.

You may find some of these changes confusing, ugly, annoying or just plain great. Either way - as always - I'd love to hear about it, don't hesitate to post feedback.

Much great and cool stuff is still to come, stay tuned for exciting announcements tongue

This is very easy to do, but I have been reluctant to implement it. I'm not sure how many people want to see those large figures each time they look at their inventory smile

It has, however, been requested on a couple of occasions before, so it seems people would like to see that.

I am considering adding it as an option under the Tools menu (or another such non-intrusive place - meaning you have to specifically want to see it, and click somewhere to get to it).

Meanwhile, any new news on the development of deckbox.org? It has been a while and I'm getting a little lonely without you.

Yep... I've been slacking off lately, haven't done much programming.

Buuut... you'll be glad to find out there's big plans for the coming weeks / months. There will be changes to the whole Inventory / Wishlist / Tradelist interaction, the much - awaited ability to add foiled / edition info to cards, and also I promise to find a way to accommodate your sub-inventory sets request.

All that, plus some surprises along the way tongue

So stay tuned for exciting updates!

It appears UDE is stopping development of the TCG. sad

As far as I understand, Blizzard has plans for something similar though. Anyone with better rumors about this?

As of now, card prices are in too.

The second set in the Zendikar block, Worldwake is imported.

Those of you who attended the pre-release events can now add the cards to your collection, and start tweaking decks smile

Card prices are not yet in, as not all pages in tcgplayer.com have updated price aggregates.

Hehe, I understand tongue
There aren't that many restricted cards, so checking for them isn't that much work, still would be useful big_smile
Uhm, what I actually wanted to say was that you shouldn't rush it tongue Just take your time big_smile

I'm slowly but surely getting to that too smile

Metalmorphed wrote:

And one question, did you make all this by yourself ? yikes

Yep!

Metalmorphed wrote:

Hi there,
It would be very useful to have a column in the deck editor that tells me in what the card in legal.

Yep, I haven't thought about that since I only play standard tongue. So if I have exteded cards in a standard deck, I just enable the edition column and I can quickly tell what the extended cards are. But you're right, it might be useful for larger formats.

Metalmorphed wrote:

Oh, and what I also noticed, in my poison deck used to be 3 Ponder cards but there are restricted, so only 1 was legal in vintage, but still the legality checker said it was legal in vintage.

Yes, this is a limitation of the format checker. It does not take into account the number of cards of each type you have at all, only if the card itself is legal in the format. So you can have 5 Lightning Bolts and it will still say it's legal in Standard, or have 3 or some restricted card and ignore that.

I will have to fix this... but it was harder to implement, so I just went without it for the first version sad

Hey,

Thanks for your kind words smile

About the deck legality... after you enter a deck that's "complete" (that's to say it has more than 60 cards), the legality will be displayed under the deck title.

Something like: "This is a complete   Vintage deck." - see for example in your poison deck. (Of course, if it's legal in Standard it will only say Standard but actually it will be a legal Extended, Vintage and Legacy deck)

Now that I think of it.... maybe it should also display the legality in the "building" stages... meaning - even if it's not finished yet.

What do you guys think?

A bit later than I hoped, but now they should be imported (both Grand Melee and Naxx).

If there are any bugs or problems / typos, I welcome your feedback as usual.

Again, thanks a lot Zack for the images and xls files!

still the price difference between tcgplayer and magiccard.info is very strange, if one is using info from the other

Yep, you are right. Although the price lists they both point to are identical (if you click on a price on magiccards.info, you will see the list of prices from here: http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/magic_sin … sorb%20Vis), the average is sometimes different for some reason.

I will investigate.

Hi Zack,

Thanks for the email. Will import the cards some time today / tomorrow.

As per your many requests, card prices for MtG cards are now fetched from http://tcgplayer.com. All prices displayed in sets and trades are average prices from that site. (http://magiccards.info also display card prices from there, so everybody should be familiar with them)

The deck view also now displays the total value, whose calculation uses the same prices.

Also, the split cards are now called by "both" their names. (e.g. Crime // Punishment).

Happy new year! smile

I know some people felt the need to write some information for their decks - like strategy notes, cards to consider - so now you can! At the bottom of the deck page, there's a Notes section.

You can't have links or special formatting in them right now, just plain text, but who knows what the future willl bring smile

Merry Christmas everybody!

New WoW cards: Band of Channeled Magic, Boots of Utter Darkness, Ebonweave Robe, Khorium Boar, Ring of Invincibility, Signet of the Impregnable Fortress, Renewal of Life

Many thanks to Zack yet again!

P.S. As usual, any bug reports welcome (typos etc)

Apparently there were problems in Internet explorer on the new decks page, I've fixed them now. Also, the WoW edition / rarity columns are now a single one (like I did for MtG a while back).

As a bonus, there's a a new section on each card's page: Statistics (at the bottom of the page). The only thing there for now is the number of decks the card is used in. (more to come in the future). So there, now you know that Verdant Catacombs and Vampire Nighthawk are both used in 25 decks. tongue

P.S. Also, I've updated the upcoming features thread

WoW players: Scourgewar

I've imported Scourgewar into the db. Please report any errors or typos. Sorry for being very very late with this, and big thanks to Zack for the card texts and images!

Decks page

Another feature that's long overdue, now we have searchable deck pages for MtG and WoW. I've always wanted to able to search for all decks that use Vampire Nighthawk or for all BRG Pauper decks. Now we can ! tongue

See the reply I posted here: http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=47

I really hate UDE for this... not only they do not have an official card database, but even they even abandoned updating the official card reference document... sad

If I get no reply from them till tomorrow, I'll think about how to import them manually...

As for the trading card games... we just passed by there Sunday and played in a fun 2HG side event. This was just a part of one of the 3 huge rooms where public events were held:

http://sebi.tla.ro/storage/tmp/worlds.jpg

Hopefully next time we'll actually be playing in the main competition, along with some of you guys tongue

It's been a bit too silent for my taste around here for a while but I'll be catching up, I promise smile

Users page and trading

The first of the couple of small changes: the users page has been cleaned up a bit - now it's filterable, sortable, and generally more usable. Secondly, the trading opportunities section on your profile page is a bit better now, you can see all the users you can trade anything with, in a paginated listing.

Scourgewar

The bad news for the wow players... the delay continues for the Scourgewar cards. The problem is the UDE official card reference sheets have not been updated to contain these cards. They're usually prompt in updating them, but they seem to be getting sloppier.

I have asked on the official forums about their availability, I'll wait a couple more days to see if they'll post them. If not... I'll sadly have to import them either from wowtcgdb or manually (both scenarios are bad... as I have written the importer for the official document format; Zack, I might drop you an email if it comes to that, and I'd need the images / text).

Other than that... I'm back in the country, and you'll hopefully see some cool new features soon! tongue

Thanks
