Get ready to rock out with your box out! Valentine's Day is coming early with the Louisville Warhammer Invasion Tournament Deck Swap Tournament!
We will have a swinging good time as each participant explores the carnal pleasures of another player's cardboard concubine.
Deck boxes and keys will be placed in the center of the table. Keys will randomly be assigned to each deck. Players will then take the deck their keys have been placed next to and slowly and tenderly uncover the deep secrets that lie within the recesses of the night's new mistress.
After the two of you have had a few minutes to get acquainted is when the fun really starts. Each player will then attempt to quench their inner thirst for passion through victory with the evening's evanescent escort. At the end of the night each player will be returned to their truelove and the top 2 players, in a display of unbridled ecstasy, will attempt to dominate in the intimate art of Warhammering.
This is sure to be the most titillating event of the year so clear your calendars and prime your decks for a night that your neighbors will be whispering about for years to come!

I would say no since the resources are a cost to play a the card and I you can't respond to the payment, only the effect.
You could however take their resources during the kingdom phase, restricting size and number of cards they can put into play during the capital phase.

We've been talking about different ways to draft and I think we've come up with an easy way.
We are going to pass out the 6 base race cards to everyone(randomly unless your really want a particular race and we will do what we can). We will then shuffle all neutral cards together and place them into packs of 15 and draft them Magic style.

You don't have to have cards or know how to play. This tournament is geared toward new players to get cards in their hands.
We will be buying a core set and one of every deluxe expansion. Each player will be assigned a race and all cards from each expansion that go along with that race. We will then draft the neutral cards(drafting will most likely involve a bidding system using the core set draft cards as currency).
When the tournament is over you will get to keep the cards you play with! This is a great way for a new player to jump into the game, giving you all the cards you need for a complete race from all the expensive sets so you can jump right into building your collection with the less expensive battle packs.
Below is a list of all the sets we will buy(Note if more than 6 players sign up we will buy more Core sets and Assault on Ulthuan's to cover the added players.):

March of the Damned....$30
Legends.......................$30
Prize Support................$20
Total...........................$150
Divided by 6 players(the minimum)......$26.30 each with tax included(price may vary slightly depending on the total number of players*)

The event in Lexington at The Battleforge was completely awesome! Mike, the store owner, is a super nice guy and has a great shop with plenty of space to play and ample parking available. There were 13 guys there total and it went off so well 2 of the new guys bought core sets that night!

Battleforge is having a Warhammer Invasion Event as part of there upcoming Warhammer Fantasy Weekend.
I am the organizer of the Louisville Warhammer Invasion League meetup group and Mike, the owner of The Battleforge, invited our group to come down and play. Hi I am new to the forum and am looking to build an active league in Louisville KY.
We currently have a play group of about 4 with a constant 2 meeting every week. It is pretty casual right now but our hope is to grow the group to a size where we can start drafting and having tournaments.
We meet at BluegrassMagic GameShop every Friday from 6:30PM until they close at midnight.
