Would be nice to be able to bulk add to the sideboard for sure.

Yeah, textless and promo has been my way as well to track them.  Gets messy when you have a decent amount of actual cards that are also textless and promo.

I've been getting more and more into collecting altered art cards.  It would be great to have a card detail for altered art, which I believe is a change you have in the works (aka more than just foil, promo and textless).  However, would it be possible to allow us to upload an image file representing the card?

Some of these cards go for $100+ dollars at time and valuation can be difficult.  However, besides collecting purposes it would be useful to have this information handy for insurance purposes and theft or what not it would be nice to have a record of the card.

The site uses what is officially tracked by Wizard's in the Gatherer database.

So even though there is officially an option to search for the 'Vanguard' expansion the Wizard's Gatherer database has no information on them.  The search returns 0 entries for Vanguard.

It would be nice to have them on the site; however, it would add a good bit of overhead to Sebi and his small team to make them available.

Maybe something as time goes by we can have tracked.

Ah, I see, good point. Will think about this.

So far I've got something like 30K+ cards of my collection inventories.  However, I've got like 2 cases of commander decks, several boxes of duel decks and premium decks that I'm just not adding in yet.  It would be great to have a quick summary page, which would list officially released side products and you could just click add or add x4 etc.  Then in the back ground deckbox would just insert with the appropriate details and probably condition MINT not near mint into the inventory.

But the cards imported this way will not have any details associated to them, which is why many of us don't use this process.

Oh, I didn't know about the buy a box promo card. I'll have to ask about that!

You can get it at participating stores.  Generally if they have sanctioned events they should have the buy a box promo.  Most offer it with pre-ordering the box and if there is enough left over sometimes you might get it with a non-preordered box.

Been a while since I drafted Besieged; however, you've got a lot of viable build options.

This is a great card and worth splashing mountains for if you see them in your packs or get passed.

In this particular set it's usually the common card that I know I'll regret being on the receiving end of later on.

I almost always buy one booster box from my local shop (for the buy a box promo card), a fat pack (for the collectors guide and dice) and usually at least one intro deck to participate in some of the bonus side events that happen during pre-release and release events.  I then play sealed limited draft's 3 to 9 times a month depending on the month.

After all that I tends to have the majority of what I need for 2x to 3x playsets for commons and 1x to 2x playsets of uncommons.  I usually keep a short list of cards I need handy to read before drafting so that I can pick them up if there is not a particular important card I need to actually win.

Are any of the validation logic checks looking at ban lists?  Keep finding myself with banned cards in my EDH decks :0

You can already back up your collection FYI.

Inventory --> View --> Export

What is the extent of the validation of the EDH / Commander logic?

Curious as I have valid deck according to EDH that contains at least one banned card from EDH.

Right now to track major changes in the deck I copy and and add a "v1" or a "v2" to the deck name.

In general FNM is usually going to be constructed standard, which means 60 card decks that validate to the standard rule sets.  Right now standard includes cards from Scars of Mirradan forward with a few cards in that time line that are banned OR they will run drafts, which tend to be block or the most recent expansion, which happens to be Innistrad.

You can probably find someone to play with you before or after the main events; however, extended at least in my experience has not been a very popular format.  Your extended deck may also qualify for modern; however, the site currently does not validate a deck against multiple formats.

What about marking some trades as expired or what not?  I've had some that I've just never had a chance to look at or consider since I was to busy.  By the time I got back into trading mode the user may have cancelled it or maybe the system did.

Responsiveness around 1:45 to 1:52 PM EST has been pretty poor.  > 45 seconds for simple card look ups to complete so a card can be added to a deck.  Also took > 2 minutes to enable a column on the deck list view.

I bought some the other day.  They are definitely still available; however, I'm not sure if the material is the same.

Here is at least one source;

So this request is not very useful, you should learn the format types and how they contain each other (like in math N < Z < Q < R tongue )

Actually it is very useful since your statement is no longer correct and has not always been correct.

There are many cards in standard that are not legal in older formats now.

With the trend continuing with how bans are made it would be useful to make sure the format we intend to play is auto validated.

I don't play extended; however, my deck is extended legal.  I'm more concerned if it is modern legal.

Would it be possible to run the deck validation logic against multiple formats?

I have a deck that is modern legal; however, it gets validated as extended legal, which is accurate as well.

Nice round of updates!  Keep up the great work!

Would be useful for sure.

Some are easy to tag if you don't read the language...  Others are harder.  Might be nice to follow them up with the english name for us not so linguistic folks.

Nice work sebi. That export feature was really needed. Thanks for taking the time!

The export is fantastic! Took less than 10 seconds. Quick and easy. Thank you very much!

Just one thing, the cards that show up as having $0.00 value here still show up as 0 in the export. This greatly misrepresents the actual total value of the collection. Is there any way to fix this?

Again, thank you for your hard work. Deckbox.org is amazing!

I think fixing this bug is important.  Getting a more accurate value on the collection I know is important to me as I have a various collections including MTG insured under my home owners policy.  Having regular exports with correct values would make it invaluable when submitting an insurance claim god forbid I ever have to do that!
