Topic: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

Greetings,

Third set in the Khans of Tarkir block is here, and I've just imported the cards to our database. Happy deckbuilding!

Along with the normal cards, you can also see the new tokens and promos: the ones from the Prerelease Events, Intro Pack alternate arts, Launch Party, Game Day & the Buy-A-Box promo, on the market page:

Also in is the future May FNM Promo, Abzan Beastmaster:

Mobile interface sneak peek

Aside from the database updates, we're hard at work putting the last polishing touches on an upcoming premium feature: the first version of a mobile interface. Check out a couple of screenshots below. Not sure of the release date yet but it's close!

It will be a mobile-optimized web page. (At least as a first step, not ruling out apps for later in the future).

Yay for mobile!

Re: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

Just tried to add some DTK cards into one of my decks, the card image for each just shows up as the Magic card back. Is this a known error?

Could you try again now, after Shift-refreshing the page? It was a caching issue.

Helped with some, but not others - strange. For example: Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit shows up now, but Avatar of the Resolute is still the card back.

Re: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

super exited for mobile smile
also yay for getting promos listed before the set release

Re: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

Mobile will be excellent.  Thanks for working on that.

I have a Atarka's Command as prerelease card, but it's not listed in the DTK Prerelease cardlist.

The Prerelease promos that you got in your seeded pack have not been added yet, because it was not known before hand what they were going to be. the ones you see now are the ones from the dragonfury game that was announced several weeks ago.  For now you can just add the foil and the old promo tag and tell whoever you are trading it with that it is the promo with the datestamp.

When do judge promos get placed in the database?

Are you considering an API such as through web services? If so, there are probably existing apps that could just leverage that. MTG Familiar, for instance, is open source, so an extension could be written for that.

Re: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

Is there any plans for development to enable designation of edition and foil in decklists?

Re: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

How will you make the mobile webpages a premium feature? Isn't it just modified CSS? Couldn't I just grab the stylesheets and apply them myself client-side? Looks good nonetheless.

Re: database: Dragons of Tarkir, plus a sneak peek at a Mobile Interface

Mobile menu looks like wasted space, "Inventory | Tradelist | Wishlist" easily fit in one line
"Canceled & Local" doesn't make sense, why can't local be a separate item?

I hope tables will still have selectable columns, so mobile view will not turn out worse than desktop on table landscape view (worse - having to do more taps to view same information).
