Damned if I know. :) But honestly, it bounces back pretty well because it does a good job of not being too annoying. There's usually someone else at the table who poses a greater threat, so they take the heat from something like Merciless Eviction. The deck was designed to shut down the various things which bring the game to a sudden halt, especially out-of-the-blue infinite combos and tutors.
