It reminded me of a deck I did in standard using Soulfire and casting huge spell with a Living Lore trigger wiping the board and coming back from 1 life to win. The Wear / Tear is an auto-include after board to fight through Leyline and the likes.

This deck is spice, I played against it last night on mtgo and had no clue what I was facing - thankfully I kept having paths to deal wtih stuffy doll, and in game one the guy cast blasphemous act with soulfire out and went to 48 life ... I still won, but still.
