Notes

Ad Nauseam Tendrils: Ad Nauseam Tendrils, or ANT, is the most straightforward of the legacy storm decks. It combines acceleration with one of two engines, Ad Nauseam or Past in Flames. After casting Rituals and other fast mana, the deck either flashes back all of the previous spells cast (Past in Flames) or draws enough cards to continue storming (Ad Nauseam), until it can cast Tendrils of Agony for a lethal 20. There are two versions of the deck, one that plays only a light splash of red to cast Past in Flames, the other is more dedicated to the color, and plays Burning Wish as an additional tutor to combine with Infernal Tutor. In most builds, the protection lies in 7 slots for discard spells, typically 4 Cabal Therapy and 3 Duress. The deck is slower than some other builds, but uses a fetchland/dual land/basic land configuration to construct a strong, safe manabase. Storm decks like this are typically referred to as Fetchland Tendrils, for their ability to sculpt a hand and land base to fight through hate, but also combo at very high speed when necessary.
